I've vacationed in Mexico several years ago. I was scared. My family and I walked down the street from our hotel and the police stood around with guns. A friend of ours rented a car and got a ticket for speeding. My husband and I were with our friend and he wasn't speeding. They actually approached us with guns, oh my God I thought. Kids can drink alcohol at any age. A teenage boy approached my husband trying to sell cocaine. My husband told me to walk away as fast as I could. Thank God he handled the situation. He gave the boy $20 American dollars and told him he didn't use cocaine. I never want to go back!!! Their government is why they come here illegally. They are animals. They will resort to anything to survive as anyone would. We don't need their culture and lifestyle here. Different cultures don't mix. They have their country and we have ours. God divided us for a reason. Doesn't take a lot of intelligence to know this.

Hi I got a speeding ticket for going 59 in 45 zone in a local road in Michigan. It was a new car and I didn't know if speeds up so fast. It is my first speeding ticket over 10 yrs of driving. The fine is $115 and point 3. I went to see the matistrate and he said he can't do anything except making an appointment for a trial if I wanted to. I contacted a lawyer and he says that it's very likely that he can reduce/clear my points and his fee is $375. Is there a chance that I can do that in a court without a lawyer or I better off hiring him?

Many people think we're in Iraq only for the oil. I personally believe thats ONE OF THE REASONS we're there but not the ONLY REASON.

Why are people bashing Bush?? This country runs on oil and we need it no matter what. We can't just let any bad country (Iran) take over the other countries that we buy oil from. Our president is just looking out for us in the future...

What do you think???

"I wanted to let you know that I will no longer be on The View tomorrow as scheduled. I had made a request that I be interviewed by Joy, Barbara or Whoopi, but not Elisabeth Hasselback [sic]. Unfortunately, the show was not willing to accommodate this simple request so I bowed out. It's really too bad because I've always been a big supporter of the show, but I cannot compromise my beliefs. The good news is that I will be on a whole slew of other shows promoting the new album so I hope you can catch me on those."

UCLA Police Taser Student For Not Showing ID

NBC 11
Thursday, November 16, 2006

RELATED: Americans To Be Tortured For Refusing To Show ID?

Comment: This is like something out of a horror movie, you can hear the guy screaming and begging not to be tortured as they repeatedly hit him with the Taser shot. Tortured for not showing ID in America, this is what "serve and protect" has come to mean.

LOS ANGELES -- A cell phone captured video of a 23-year-old student being administered multiple Taser shocks by UCLA police on Tuesday.

The UCLA student was hit with the Taser shocks multiple times while he was in the Powell Library Computer Lab.

Another student recorded the incident on a camera phone. On the video, Mostafa Tabatabainejad can be heard screaming during the incident, which took place at about 11:30 p.m., the Daily Bruin reported.

According to the paper, Tabatabainejad did not show ID to community service officers who were conducting a random check. UCLA police said Tabatabainejad was released by police after he was cited for obstruction/delay of a peace officer in the performance of duty.

The Daily Bruin reported that Tabatabainejad complained when an officer was escorting him from the lab and put his hand on one of Tabatabainejad's arms. He allegedly yelled, "Get off of me," according to the paper. He was then shot with the Taser, reported the paper.

The Daily Bruin reported that after he was hit, Tabatabainejad yelled, "Here's your Patriot Act, here's your f---ing abuse of power."

Police said they thought Tabatabainejad was not harmed in the incident.

"If he was able to walk out of here, I think he was OK," the sergeant said

I saw a question about Americans being too lazy to get out and vote.
Then I noticed that YA politics is full of very opinionated posters. I was just wondering how many do get out and vote, do you think the ones that don't vote have a right to complain, and how many that are on here complaining aren't even old enough to vote.

I would like some advice please, I was walking with my family on a public footpath which runs adjacent to the local golf course, all of a sudden I get hit (very hard) on the back of the head with a ball. Cut a long story short there was lots of blood and I had to go to A&E to get my head glued. There is a fence between the path and course but obviously not high enough.
Where legally do I stand?
Trying to track the golfer down but he didn't know it was him (he may not of had insurance anyway), the club say it is not there responsibility, accident and claims people don't seem that interested as it must not be easy money for them??
I am detirmined to a) get the fence hightened b) compensation for nearly knocking a hole in my skull. (it could be a child next time).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
What gets me is that OK if i'm on the course what do you expect? but not in a public footpath.

Thanks

Yesterday, Hillary Clinton proposed health-care reforms modeled on the Massachusetts plan developed and put in place by REPUBLICAN governor Romney.

The GOP has praised this plan and supported it as a needed reform that keeps the government from taking over health care.

Now--when it's proposed and supported by Democrats, they're calling it socialized medicine (which, eiter way, it isn't).

Is it possible for the neoconservatives to get any more hypocritical--or ludicrous?

My father who served Royal Indian Air Force in World War-II, is still alive, what was his legal status then and now? What kind of recognition he should get from the Quine or what kind of benefit we may expect from the United Kingdom for the service my father rendered to them? My father's service No. 42776. Many of his comrade at arms are no more in the world. Should he deserves any type of recognition and if so what, how and when? Whether he should be able to receive any kind of recognition or reward during his life time or should we demand some sort of benefit like getting UK visa for us or our children?
