Hey yank.. You know the Suez crisis that you mention.. well that was in 1956.. it was an act of stupidity brought about through national pride and self interest. The American government at the time were blind to the dangers allowing Egypt to prevail.. But you know something that lack of support for Britain and its aims from the American government later insured that the British wouldn't commit troops to the Vietnam war,, we all know how that ended,, The US was humiliated in the very same way has the Brits and french were in 1956..

Extremly proud of our history. Saved the world three times.
Restricted powers of absolute monarchs creating a modern democracy. Gave the world Shakespeare, Dickens, the Industrial Revolution and brought prosperity to all corners of the mainly benevolent British Empire. All in all a little bit more than a talking cartoon mouse and a hot dog.

And at least we didn't try and commit genocide (small pox blankets given to native americans ring any bells?) or force them off their own land through "manifest destiny" (one of the reasons our two countries went to war).

You do have some history. But are you proud of that?

Every nation tries to swing things its own way when they have the chance. England did it till they lost their power in ww2. US has been doing it ever since.....

Firstly I've never heard France being mentioned as Britain's 'eternal friend' before. Second, so you think it's ok to sacrifice thousands of our troops lives and tens of thousands of civilians just so you can fill up your jeep a couple of pence cheaper?

English to the total & utter core. Proud of my country's history.
And 15 years of being willing to fight & die for it.

If it wasn't for England you wouldn't have a country anyway. Be grateful!!

Why have you changed your name from RAY N or are you just related?
