I don't praise Romney's plan. I opposed it when he announced it and I still oppose it.
But I like pretty much everything else Romney has done and tried to do and all his other policy initiatives that he discusses on his website.
And I point out that, if health care is your issue, and you want a mandatory coverage plan, then the fact that, as you state, the Hillary plan is almost exactly what Romney has already put in place, pretty much negates Hillary as your candidate - - - it makes sense for you to choose the candidate that has actually built such a plan and put it into action.
Keep in mind also that there is the samy hypocrisy on the Left - - - the Boston Globe, which loves Hillary and her plan, criticized the Romney plan for not subsidizing low-income individuals enough - - - - they ran an article about a 52 year old women working at Dunkin' Donuts (which is owned by Bain Capital, another subtle dig at Romney).
My response obviously was, lady if you were born here, received a free 12th grade education and are able-bodied, and now you're 52 and you're serving coffee for a living, you're just not a victim.

It's not just in the US cbg, it's provinical election time in Ontario too and the parties are falling all over themselves finger pointing and blaming and conveniently forgetting what they did when they were in office . For example here in Ontario the former Conservative goven't from 95-03 started a lawsuit to take the parents of children with autism to court because their parents wanted the funding to stay past age six.
Now the Conservatives are calling the Liberal government of Mr. McGuinty horrible people because he took the parents of poor autistic children to court.
The conservative party in Ontario and dare I say it in Canada has never done anything positive for any disabled person ever! But boy come election time they are the biggest hypocrites known to man, so why should their American brethen be any different? That's whose knee the Canadian conservatives learned it from.

Romney's plan is much different from Shrillary's. Romneys says all Mass. citizens need to get coverage. It's not government supplied care. Universal government care IS socialized medicine. We are not the Socialist States of America.

Oh yes it is possible. While they have shown enormous propensity for hypocricy I believe we will see more of it as time passes.
What is interesting is that the Clinton .02 plan is very much like the plan used in Mass. but on a grander scale. They say, well this is different because it is for the whole country. That is hogwash. Eventually the country will adopt a plan from Massachusetts or California or somewhere else. If the one in Mass. has been working I say give it consideration and that is what Clinton is doing.
I'll bet if the exact plan Clinton proposes had been brought up by one of the GOP candidates the Republicans would be drooling and tripping over themselves to back it. Hypocracy reigns supreme in the GOP these days. Will they ever regain their integrity?

No republican has a problem with state sponsored health care.
The problem is with over reaching Federal government.
Read the Constitution
You make your self look like a moron.
States can do pretty much what ever they want, not so with the federal government.
No to expose the left hypocrisy. If a state bans same sex marriages by changing the constitution of a state that has democratic support for the legislation. If a republican now tries to follow that state in the federal arena would libs be considered hypocritical by you?

Is this question about the reforms, or is it about hypocrisy? You fail to mention what you think about the actual reforms.
Clinton's and Romney's proposed reforms are not the same.
She may have "modeled" it after Romney's (interesting, by the way) but there are fundamental differences. Read them yourself, and figure it out:

Why do you think I don't want to see Romney get the nomination? I'm a non-hypocritical Republican -- if I see a Republican doing something I don't like, I don't vote for him.
I'd vote against anyone proposing any kind of a government-involved medicine plan or program, period.

No, Republicans are all for States having more power...last I checked Mass. was a state...we are against the federal government having more power then it needs or deserves in the lives of individual citizens. There is no hypocrisy in that.

The fact is that conservatives have shown how heartless they are.The fact that millions of hard working Americans can't afford insurance is just too bad as far they're concerned.
The fact that people are dying in this country for lack of healthcare doesn't matter to these people. The fact that people in this country are ruined financially because they or a loved one has become ill doesn't matter to these people. What matters is they deny their fellow citizens any kind of assistance that would better their lives, which in turn raises the well-being of the nation as a whole.
Why?Because they are led by liars and thugs who are attempting to institute a corporatist, theocratic police state where the poor don't matter, where there is no middle class, and a few, rich overlords.

Just when you think no, it's possible. They are insane and losing it because I don't think they would behave so irrationally. She is trying to do something. If they don't like it then they need to debate and discuss it to come up with something better. To completely discredit it and ignore the problem is just so typical of the Republicans. One tidbit for insurance: don't risk a lot for a little. We all need healthcare. It's not a luxury. It's a necessity.
