I saw a question about Americans being too lazy to get out and vote.
Then I noticed that YA politics is full of very opinionated posters. I was just wondering how many do get out and vote, do you think the ones that don't vote have a right to complain, and how many that are on here complaining aren't even old enough to vote.

From many of the immature, uneducated answers constantly showing up on these posts I would venture to say that only about 5% of the Posters are actually old enough to vote to begin with.

I would imagine that most posters here in politics who are old enough to vote would exercise that right. I've been voting since I was old enough to register.

We represent a minute segment of voters who are interested in politics and take the time to become educated, debate, and are of course very outspoken in our beliefs.

No, if you don't exercise your right to vote, you have given up your rights to complain. IMHO.

You shouldn't be encouraging the Iranians to put themselves in danger over this. 70% under 30, by political means new generations of Iranians will have their free society. Politicians should not give in to the media's requests for them to comment on every childish thing that comes out of the Iranian President's mouth and religious old person's aggression.

I'm a bleeding heart, tree-hugging, pro-feminists, animal loving, opinionated poster and I vote.

I have voted in every national, state, and local election for 40 years.I admit, this election I will no longer be voting.Regardless the lies being promised by the candidates, there will be no change in course for this country. We will continue to consolidate North America, and continue to build our presence in the middle east.Nafta, proposed by GH BUSH,signed into law by Clinton, fast tracked by GW BUSH.

Middle East.Radical Islam encouraged by Carters' CIA,mujaheddin(sp?) funded by Reagan, bases in Saudi and Kuwait by GH BUSH,terrorists ignored by CLINTON,bases in Afghanistan and Iraq by GW BUSH,bases in Iran next term.I finally realized it really doesn't matter. The political process is just window dressing to make us feel like we are part of the process. We aren't,haven't been for some time

I vote. Everyone has the right to complain, but you decide if you will listen to them.
