Want me to tell you why Mexican authority carries guns?

I've vacationed in Mexico several years ago. I was scared. My family and I walked down the street from our hotel and the police stood around with guns. A friend of ours rented a car and got a ticket for speeding. My husband and I were with our friend and he wasn't speeding. They actually approached us with guns, oh my God I thought. Kids can drink alcohol at any age. A teenage boy approached my husband trying to sell cocaine. My husband told me to walk away as fast as I could. Thank God he handled the situation. He gave the boy $20 American dollars and told him he didn't use cocaine. I never want to go back!!! Their government is why they come here illegally. They are animals. They will resort to anything to survive as anyone would. We don't need their culture and lifestyle here. Different cultures don't mix. They have their country and we have ours. God divided us for a reason. Doesn't take a lot of intelligence to know this.

I'm talking about little kids drinking in front of the police in Mexico, getting drunk, doing drugs. I like a structured life. But to hell with having it because of ILLEGAL immigrants. I mean ILLEGAL!!!!!!

Maribel, I don't live in a trailer park, but if I did at least I wouldn't be piling up and living 10 people to a 1 unit family apartment. What does living in a trailer have to do with anything? You live right and pay your way, there is no problem. I just want illegals to pay their way and stop bringing in drugs and selling them here. It's legal in Mexico and it's brought here and sold illrgally. I don't live on welfare either. I've worked my *** off for what I have. My house is paid for. My husband got disabled working long shifts to support his family. He never stole, sold drugs or crossed a border illegally. I dare you tell me about welfare. I have to pay for every thing I have. LRG-I appreciate your honesty. How can people live like they do. How can they take from us? They have no morals. I go shopping and their 5 or more kids run wild. I was in a store a couple of weeks ago and the store made an announcement to please keep your children with you for the courtesy of other customers. I know why they did. 4 mex boys were running wild in the store and shoved several jars of pickles onto the floor. Accident or not they had no business running wild. No parents to be found. these kids were maybe no more than10, any 4 or them. My kids are grown, but I cared enough to keep them by my side or punished them if they left. They live here, they need to adapt to our culture and speak English. I'm not mad. I'm frustrated. So be it, I get alot of nastiness. Most nasty comes from irresponsible, bumming, border crossers or friends of border crossers and illegals.

I've visited Mexico too...it's a different world outside the resort area. Corruption is a way of life and laws are optional if you throw money at them. That is how the lower class of Mexico (and they DEFINITELY have classes) behave.

Those ARE the people who are sneaking over the border into our country. Don't be fooled. We aren't getting the law abiding citizens of Mexico. They abide by laws in their own country and would be appalled at the idea of treating our laws as if they didn't exist. We are getting the OTHER element.

Don't trust Mexican police, either. Many of them ARE for sale. Not all, but many...and they don't have a sign on them so you know which are which.

It never fails!! People don't see that one of the reasons Mexico is so screwed up is that most of their people have nothing but moronic pride that keeps them from seeing what kind of cesspool they live in and what kind of obscene joke their government is. You don't need to go to Mexico to see how good these people are at ruining any good place or environment or what not. Just look at how many third world big and small ghettos have mushroomed in this country since the 80's, especially for the past 10-15 years. The fact that most illegal Mexicans and those who have an agenda to support these illegals would cry victim and racism every time someone points out facts about their problems, shows clearly how the illegals and the likes want to be in a backward, corrupt, unsanitary, crime-ridden, oppressed living environment, no matter where they go, and especially with the tax money of others.

you forgot one thing: no matter how many trailer park dwellers there are in this country, it is the first and foremost reponsibility of a government to protect their own citizens welfare. I gotta say that understand completely. I've got a friend who was entering a convenience store minding his own business when an uninsured, unlicensed illegal motorist drove into him and the store he was entering. Now he must to go to the Dr. once a month to have fluid drained from his spinal cord. No one will hire him even though he's willing to sign a workman's comp waiver in order to work. Insurance companies won't insure him. He's forced to be on social security and not even getting enough to support his family much less pay his mortgage. He would much rather be working. This state is a 'no fault' state and the person who hit him and the store got a $45 fine from a judge who said there was nothing else he could do.

you had one bad experience on vacation and now u are calling Mexicans "animals"? Thats ridiculous, our cultures are not so different. Mexican officials have guns to keep control and protect the innocent, just like those in the US. Drinking age technically is 18, but kids do buy beer and take it home to their parents and some may ocassionally indulge. If u want to get to know Mexico, venture past the vacation zones. Dont want people to offer u drugs?? Tell ur fellow Americans to not ask for drugs on their vacations....maybe that will avoid the guy's aparent misunderstanding. Get to know people and dont use one bad experience as a pathetic excuse to be racist.

There are at least two very distinct cultures in Mexico, according to a college friend of mine who came legally to study. One sneers at anyone who picks up a book as it's 'only an excuse not to pick up a shovel'.

The other puts the expectations on their kids like the rest of the modern world. Needless to say, they're better off financially, typically honor the systems of law and civility and, surprise surprise!, they're able to tell a joke at their own expense...and laugh with you over it.

Both types are coming over but which in larger numbers? Consider this: if education is a shameful thing and these kids quit at puberty, what phase of life do you think they move on to? Reproduction.

Just in a few rental units a friend of mine owns, more than a dozen girls have had their first baby at 15 or under. One that I know of for sure had her first at 12. Most now have 3 to 5 kids at under 20. Their kids will do the same. No learning, no challenging the mind, no aspiring to greater heights. Start another 4.5-kid cycle in 13 years.

Bigotry applies to judgments about things a person has no control over. Culture is NOT among them. We produce our culture just as we produce machines. Saying a culture is inferior is no more bigoted than saying a Chinese-made motorcycle is inferior to a Japanese-made bike.

If we don't make it as difficult to cross our border as it is to cross the Pacific, the long-term affect is the cruelest possible outcome for nations in need of vast change but who border us.

Yes Shes correct , not all Cultures mix. Yes some do. it depends on the Moral Fiber of that Culture. I would submit that there are places she has not been in the US, as i drive thru the parking lot of My Apartments, an ethnic man nods his head, hes not saying hello, He wants to know if I need a rock, or white??? i still have not figured that one out is white cocaine, or speed now days??? Yeah, I think if you get your butt off welfare you might be able to afford a good mexican vacation. I'm a us citizen but LOVE the idea of mixing with other cultures. I guess that makes me open minded and with God in mind who said we should love our neighbor. I think when you talk about animals you're getting confused with your life living in the trailer park like most of the ghetto caucasians do! sorry for the offense, it's not like me but offenses provoke defense. Mexicans come to do the hard work that most of the "americans" wont do because they're too lazy to do, it's easier to get a welfare check doing nothing! and Yes, mexicans are way more family oriented than you are, Your culture has the most Child protective services incidents for phisical, mental and negligent abuse in the country. Yes mexico's government needs help but that doesn't make mexicans animals. And God did not make divisions, wars that mostly US begins, makes divisions! Oh, and if we want coke or crank in our coutry, we'll go to your ethnic's trailer parks.

The same exact thing happened to me and some friends in L.A. !!! How weird. I don't think it's just Mexico, and of course if you go vacation in the slums in ANY country, well, you get what you pay for. Next time save up for a good vacation.

I know what you mean. I just moved to Denver, CO, and I am surrounded by Mexican neighbors. They are dirty, let their children run around even when it's very dark outside, very snoopy, think that their little piece of garbage car is so nice. It's a different planet here and I am moving out of here next year with my taxes. It feels like I just moved to Mexico and I'm only in Colorado! After living closely around Mexicans I have a newfound respect for the USA and I will never leave it.

Mexicans have a completely different way of living and associating with people that I am not comfortable with at all. I even caught my neighbors going through my garbage. They claim they were trying to find cans to get money from, but I don't believe them at all.

I can not wait to get out of here!!

there is no reason that our cultures can not mix, there are plenty of mexicans who immigrate here and assimilate into the culture. Police officers carry guns here too, even in schools. there are also a lot of americans that will try to sell you cocaine, especially in poorer areas. I would like to know why you think you are so much better than a mexican person just because you happened to be born in america!
