I was in a fender bender in a parking lot (private property) late at night against a big/built guy, we decided not to call the police and handle it between us. I was just going with the flow, didnt have my cell phone, and was intimidated. My car had no damage and his whole car is worth at max $1000 and had minor damage to his grill. I gave him my insurance, license, and tag information. All he gave me was his phone number and first name. After the accident, I have witnesses who say that we were backing up at the same time and stopped before I did. He is trying to claim that it's my fault and that I owe him for his estimate. I do not want to pay him because he has no proof of fault. Now, he is threatening with filing it on my insurance and making a small claim and taking me to court. (Oh yeah, his friend was driving his car and called him to the accident, so the owner/claim maker wasn't even there when it happened.)

If members of the Republican party, and right-wing Christians like Ted Haggard could just be more comfortable with themselves?

I travel a lot and live mostly around hispanics. I now live and work around illegals. In El Paso, being illegal is a way of life for many. When I go throughout this country, I noticed a lot of illegals working in Southern States. I also noticed that white females marry them quite often. Even if it does not result in marriage, there is a very high percentage of relationships with illegal males and white females. I am somewhat confused because quite a number of white females are opposedto illegal immigration. If you are benefiting from it, why do you oppose? I am not hispanic or white, so it really does not matter to me. However, why complain about illegals and marry them at an alarming rate? Anyone who is down South or in the Midwest knows and sees what I am talking about. Isn't it hypocritical to want them as lovers but want others to leave the country? I know this does not represent every white woman, but it is an issue worth noting.

especially in Pa? What if you do not carry any id with you and a cop busts you for trespassing, what are the consequences? A slap on the wrist? I am simply talking about using a community swimming pool late at night when it's closed.

the enemy is 'radical Islam', that is who the war is against. It is not a religion but an ideology like Nazism, Fascism and Communism.

"But Americans, out of a sense of "political correctness," he believes, are reluctant to ascribe the actions of the terrorists to a religion embraced by more than one billion people worldwide."

I've noticed that the overwhelming majority of political "questions" are little more than rants. Or bad straw-man arguments. Or insipid name calling. What can we do to have actual discussions of real issues, such as "What reasons do you have for supporting/opposing the Death penalty?" or "Do you think the prison system is working to reduce crime?" and so on?

And how, once such questions are posted, can we avoind this bi-partisan name calling that is so common here?

And, can we demand that statements made about some issue or another be supported with source citations (i.e. some actual evidence) instead of parroting popular misconceptions?

Anyone with me?

...pick and choose their words, parse their vocabulary - so carefully, so nuanced...

Bill Clinton: "I did not have sex with that woman!" vs. "That woman never gave me a B. job!"

Larry Craig: "I am not gay. I never have been gay" vs. "I have never had sex with a man."

Is that why politicians make such good liars? As George Constanza said when he was teaching Jerry how to beat the Lie Detector, "Remember, Jerry. It's not a lie if you believe it."

why does la raza, a lobbyist group with TONS of cash, spend it's money on getting U.S. politicians to give illegals all sorts of benefits...when, with so much money, they could go back to their country of origin and help it become a better country? this is especially hard to understand when you consider that this is a group of people who love their country and their heritage...why abandon it and instead spend resources on trying to get another country's support? think of all the help la raza could do if it helped set up businesses in mexico/central america...or if they used the money to fund the campaign of a president who truly wants to help the country

I recently went to go see the memorial and I realized that the memorial was built around the same time as the Great Depression. Do you think it was appropriate to use the government money for the memorial as opposed to feeding and helping people in need? Granted the memorial did offer jobs to some. I am not disputing the memorial itself but I think it should have built later when the economy was more stable.

I don't understand why people decide to get so attached to one party and then rabidly defend it and attack the other party, without looking at all the facts and being objective. I mean sure its good to have an opinion and know where you stand but why always defend people that agree with you and attack those who disagree with you? There are good people and bad people in both parties. And why do we have to hate the other guy? I mean I'll support whoever I think is better for the country but I have no reason to hate the other guy and say horrible things about him or her, and I don't have any reason to love and defend the guy I'm voting for against everything. Maybe I'm wierd but I can't imagine not being a moderate.

Well,i just have to say we had more death than you in WW2 even if we got crushed by germany in 7 weeks while you were fighting during one year. Also for the free french forces who defeated with only 5 000 mens 80 000 nazis, for La Résistance who gave information for the Allies and helped them to enter in France.

For the WW1,we didn't surrender and fought 4 years against Germany (who was stronger and more numerous than our) and had 1 300 000 deads (not even respects for our dead you f****** yanks)

We had the second empire and has the biggest country of western europe.

Napoleon owned Europe until russia (got beaten by russian winter)

Helped the yanks to their independence war,the greeks for their independence, also for italy...

Fought against english and won all their wars against them during 200 years (plentagenet, saint sardos war and 100 years war)...

In Florida- can a lawyer not file a mortage as part of the agreement when hired- for non-payment of his fees. He wouldn't return my calls to find out why he didn't file my mortgage so I stopped paying him. He called me for the money. I had to start paying him again but it took him 18 months to file the mortgage after it was signed. What rules of ethics has he violated??

A search on Google News for "Larry Craig" returns 5,482 articles, mostly from the brand name mainstream news media.

Larry Craig is alleged to have made improper advances in a public bathroom and who will resign his office today in disgrace. The actual incident and his arrest actually happened three months ago. And Mr. Craig is a Senator that most people have never heard of before.

A search on Google News for "Norman Hsu" returns 437 articles, and many of them are from "blogs."

Norman Hsu is alleged to have skirted our sacrosanct campaign finance laws to funnel millions of dollars into the coffers of the Democrat party over the last three years.

The money involved is very possibly from the Communist Chinese government. Hsu has been on the lam from a three year prison sentence for 15 years for stealing a million dollars.

The story involves the Democrat's current presumptive Presidential nominee, their last Presidential nominee, and many of its best known candidates. Moreover, the DNC and the Clintons both have had well documented problems in the past with corrupt contributors, and even several with Communist Chinese connections
