The United States is facing attacks from numerous terrorists. Do you believe that, eventually, the country will no longer be able to remain a world power if the attacks become more frequent and severe?

Dems have been the strongest supporters of gay people-Fact

Now suddenly a Republican party member comes out of the closet, dems are rejoicing his misfortune rather than showing him support and tolerance.

As for me, I never heard of him before all this hoopala. I think if he really did make unwanted sexual advances toward anyone then he needs to go.

FBI agents in the United States probing relatives of Saudi-born terror suspect Osama Bin Laden before September 11 were told to back off soon after George W Bush became president, the BBC has reported.
The BBC's Newsnight current affairs programme on Tuesday said that Bush at one point had a number of connections with Saudi Arabia's prominent Bin Laden family.

It added there was a suspicion that the US strategic interest in Saudi Arabia, which has the world's biggest oil reserve, blunted its inquiries into individuals with suspected terrorist connections -- so long as the US was safe.

Newsnight reported it had seen secret documents from an FBI probe into the September 11 terror attacks that showed that at least two other US-based members of the Bin Laden family are suspected to have links with a possible terrorist organisation.

The programme said it had obtained evidence that the FBI was on the trail of Bin Laden family members living in United States before, as well as after, the terrorist attacks.

Newsnight said Bush made his first million 20 years ago with an oil company partly funded by the chief US representative of Salem Bin Laden, Osama's brother.

Bush also received fees as director of a subsidiary of Carlyle Corporation, a little-known private company which in just a few years since its founding has become one of America's biggest defence contractors, and his father, George Bush Sr, is also a paid advisor, the programme said.

The connection became embarrassing when it was revealed that the Bin Ladens held a stake in Carlyle, sold just after September 11, it added.

The terrorists are more angry than ever since we toppled a dictator in Iraq and set up a democracy that may be friendly toward us.

I'm told by many here that if we just get out of Iraq, there will be peace in our time.

Can we disband our armed forces after we leave Iraq?

Can we disarm our nukes and shut down training facilities?

Norway is #1 place to live...how about if we modeled our military after them?

10 points for the best answers to the specific questions...rants about GWB and how we never should have been in Iraq in the first place are always amusing, but not relevant here.

I recently experienced Audio Telepathy/ Dimensions hearing and was informed of dimensional travel, which I experienced once (but seriously no one will believe me), the stargates left behind by an ancient royal family(cant tell you who) and the posibility of gaining some serious spaceship technology . I tried to contact the department of defense (wanting to get the message to area 51, or whoever has the stargates) but haven't got an answer, I seriously wouldn't miss out on this opportunity if I were the government/secret agencies. Does anyone seriously get answers from them? Is there any other way of contacting area 51?

Me, my cousin, and a couple of my co-workers were having a discussion. We were debating about The 'BLACK' Republican running against The 'WHITE' Democrat for President. We were debating who would the 'WHITE' Republicans vote for, The 'BLACK' Republican or The 'WHITE' Democrat?

I think in this country it's 'SKIN TONE' first. I can't see 'WHITE' Republicans voting for a 'BLACK' man. In this country it's hard enough for a 'BLACK' man to get promoted at certain jobs (even if he's qualified). In this country 'RACISM' still exist and I can't see a racist voting for a 'BLACK' man (even if he's protecting their money). What do you guys think?

BTW, don't get me wrong because I'm not calling 'ALL' republicans racist. I think that some would vote for the brotha but the 'MAJORITY' won't.

SYDNEY, Australia - America's troop buildup in Iraq has sharply reduced sectarian killings and roadside bombings and lowered al-Qaida's influence, the top U.S. general in the country said in an interview published Friday.

"We say we have achieved progress, and we are obviously going to do everything we can to build on that progress and we believe al-Qaida is off balance at the very least," The Australian newspaper quoted Gen. David Petraeus as saying. Petraeus said there had been a 75 percent drop in ethnic and religious killings since last year, a doubling in the number of seizures of insurgent weapons caches between January and August, a drop in the number of coalition deaths from roadside bombs, and an increase in the killing and capture of al-Qaida fighters, the newspaper said.

Okay libs; How are you people going to spin this one to say that we are still losing in Iraq?

You guys have been defending him all day, saying that Democrats are a bunch of hypocritical homophobes because Republicans have been calling for his resignation. So my questions are:

1. Why do you defend people who admit to having broken public decency laws?
2. Why did Craig plead guilty if he did nothing wrong?
3. Why is Craig resigning if there's nothing wrong with what he did?

Don't talk to me about Democrat pressure, either, because leading Dems have been silent on the issue. It was REPUBLICAN officials that called for his head on a platter.

Do the interviewee feel that there is enough training offered in ethics at the police academy level? If not, why is that?

Why do police offices become involved in misconduct?

Do the interviewees feel that police officers are more ethical today, or were they more ethical then years ago?

Tonight, on CNN, there was a story about a 107 year old Canadian Woman who lives in Cuba. She has a lot of money in USA banks but our government will not let her have it because they hate Castro. (These same people loved Babtista the dictator.) The announcer said, "She is not Cuban or American. She is Canadian." My map shows Canada just north of the United States. Very much a part of America. Why do citizens of the USA insult all the rest of America?

According to this poll, Most of America thinks so and so do I.

He edged out Abraham Lincoln, who abolished slavery, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King.

George Washington, the first US president who is considered the father of the nation, comes in at fourth place.

Current US President George W Bush #6 and his predecessor Bill Clinton #7 , whose presidency was tarnished by the Monica Lewinski sex scandal, are both in the top 10.

http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=12396 I was doing some researching and this popped up...so all the idiots who claim we need to stop legal immigration what do you think of these numbers...

"To compensate for the loss of revenue caused by a moratorium would require increasing Social Security taxes on Americans by $506 billion in present value over 50 years and $611 billion over 75 years. Such a tax increase would cost an American earning $60,000 in 2004 more than $1,860 in higher payroll taxes over the next 10 years.

A 33 percent increase in legal
immigration would increase revenues to Social Security by a present value of $169 billion over 50 years and $216 billion over 75 years. A 20 percent legal immigration increase would add $101 billion in present value to the trust fund over 50 years and $128 billion over a 75-year period.

You can go to page 7 for a pretty good chart and the sources.

what say you Tancredo lovers....

OK let's say Y/A is a virtual Country, ok? so if we all follow simple rules and obey the laws , (unlike the illegals , don't do)
and many here called them law brakers.so everytime you log in Y/A you find out you are 11 or so many points down , and receive a "violation notice " E-mail. then eventualy you get you account suspended, well isn't that the same thing as like you say illegals don't respect laws , so what are you or me doing ? exactly the same thing , when they suspend your account is like : " you had been deported, out of the Y/A virtual country and then you sneak back with another user name and password" and sometimes you "clone someones user name ?
isn't that dissobeying the laws , so why are some of us , so scandalized , of what undocumented people are doing, (NOT MEXICANS,UNDOCUMENTED) your opinion?
