does that mean we are over taxed? Why don't we get a say in how that money is spent and I don't think it should just be plopped into paying down the deficit. We need money pumped into education and health care etc. The position for who should oversee how this money is spent is vacant too...something wrong with this picture don't you think?

On the flight, the woman sitting next to him nodded toward his uniform and asked if he was coming or going. To the war, she meant.

He fell back on the words the military had told him to say: "I'm escorting a fallen Marine home to his family from the situation in Iraq."

The woman quietly said she was sorry, Conley said.

Then she began to cry.

My husband passed away from lung cancer 2 years ago. I had a credit card in my name and cannot pay it (on social security only). I have no money and no job (though I have pursued employment). I have an IRA that will mature in 1 1/2 years (the only money I have). Can they take that?

It seems that Hillary doesn't care about the loss of life and property when it comes to terrorism, only how much it will cause her to slip in the polls. I'm starting to think she is not the right type of person for president. Agree?

I just found out that a therapist I went to about 10 years ago has told some info about my family to some people that visit her place of business. I am so angry right now. She told me that I could trust her and she would never repeat anything I said outside of her office. She has told some horrible things about my family. While these things are true, I never meant for anyone else to find out. What recourse do I have????

I think if there are any alive that were slaves, we should do something for them.
And make the living slave owners pay for it. Then put them in court for civil rights violations.

Here's a long term study showing exactly the opposite. More people now have;

More support for government programs.

Less social conservatism.

Less religious intensity and more people are becoming secular.

Less reliance on military solutions.

I have gone half way through getting a bachelor degree from a University. I was bored and took some time off then goofed around at the Marine recruiting station... well actually them kids were goofing around with me first, I was just playing along and see how far they will go.
I ended up signed up for Reserved and the ball kept rolling, a week later I signed up for Active Service. My score on the AFVAB was 83% and I was able to get the job that I thought would be interesting: Aircraft Maintainance.
But the real problem isn't the contract, nor the job, but its more dealing with the younger kids who are coming in as enlistees. Now I dont come off arrogant nor anything but very humble. My dad was an officer in the Navy so I grew up quite discipline. So I probably would find myself better along with the people at my level...
The question I have is that, eventhough I signed the contract and my bootcamp is in a month. What will happen if I dont show up for bootcamp?

My mom has a 2nd offense DUI in august 2005. She was assigned to AA and was supposed to get her license taken away for a year. When that date finally came the DMV claimed that they didn't get a copy of the records for the AA class. They wouldn't take her copy so the AA office had to send it again. 6 months later they received it but the AA office claimed she didn't come to a few meetings (at that time the leader would tell people to go ahead and go home and not worry about it) therefore they revoked her license again. It is now 2 years later and they are now claiming that she owes the class $900 because she went to the wrong class day. Nobody informed her that she was going the wrong day. Do you believe this is fair the way they are treating her. She was only supposed to lose her license for a year and 2 years later they still won't let her get it back until she pays $900.
