is it OK for me to rob a bank because I need to pay my rent? After all govt insurance makes sure that nobody loses money in their account? The answer is of course not. It is not OK to steal from someone else so that you can have a better life. That is what they are doing. Theft of services, ID theft to work, Theft of others being able to get a decent salary in safe working conditions, theft of opportunity from others who follow the rules to come here so that they could have a better life. Theft from our children who may not have a college degree and need or want to work in construction. Theft from families that may need that blue collar job to support their families and are working in jobs that should pay more but don't because illegals will take a job for less money and drive down wages. If I robbed that bank I would face jail time nobody would be saying but they have children. Breaking the laws of this country should have consequences. I might get away with robbing that bank but would it be right to keep robbing the bank? I eventually will be caught and face the result of my breaking the law. Why is there even the question that asks is it right?

No. It is never okay for anyone to enter the USA illegally. This is a criminal act. It is not okay for people to steal US citizens' Ids and destroy their lives. It is not okay for illegals to drive in the US without proper insurance or a valid drivers license. It is not okay for illegal to come across the border in time to have their anchor baby and dump the expenses on the US taxpayers by stealing our benefits. It is not okay for illegals to be in the USA. The USA is not their home or government and so therefore illegals have no rights to protest on our streets or hide out in church buildings. If they are abiding by our laws, why do they need to hide?

The US citizens are not mean people and would like nothing better than to assist in the removal of all illegals. If the illegals need help going back to their country, why don't they ask? I'm sure there are many people who would help bus loads return - including those in churches who are harboring criminals.

Soon the USA will not exist between a corrupt government, unfair trade, lack of law enforcement at the borders, intentional avoidance of illegal removals from the USA from law violations, outsourcing everything - including our government. Despite the fact that US Citizens do Not want amnesty for illegals and have continuously protested, it appears that the US government is giving us away to the highest bidder.

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=North_American_Union
The "plan to create" a North American Union in 2010 as a regional government—comprising a collective government for the United States, Canada, and Mexico—is "directly stated only" in the May 2005 task force report Building a North American Community published by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), Jerome Corsi wrote June 26, 2006.

http://www.customs.ustreas.gov/

If the US can no longer remain a sovereign nation, we cannot help other countries but will become like those who are deprived in Mexico - because of their government. People in Mexico need to protest against their government instead of the US government because the US is not their government - unless the North American Union is successful.

The Mexican government has some of the wealthiest people in the world. Why are they so wealthy and how is it helping the people in poverty for the US to continue supporting the Mexican government?

US citizens are all about following the laws in our country and we have big hearts. We give what we can around the world - but it is never enough. We do not want what is being forced upon us by corruption.

It is wrong to break the law of our country to gain entry.

To come to the United States to better one's life? Isn't that why most of our ancestors came?

There is no equivalent to justifying illegal entry with the argument that pre-immigration laws allowed for easier entry by many of our ancestors, either. The only way to place these two ideas on the same plane, now, would be to create a time machine.

No it is not okay for illegal aliens to enter the USA to better their lives. Many legal immigrants came to the USA to better lives; only they took the time to follow the current guidelines. We would not have an issue or section on Yahoo if 12 million did the same.

First of all there is no such thing as an "undocumented" person.

People who apply to immigrate legally are called "immigrants", because they went through the legal process of immigration.
People who enter the USA illegally or who overstay a legal visa (in violation of US laws) are not "immigrants" they are ILLEGAL ALIENS.

It is NEVER "okay" to enter the USA illegally. It is a violation of United States federal immigration laws, and as such IT IS A CRIME.

Disrespect for our borders and our immigration laws proves disrespect for ALL of our laws. And having entered illegally, illegal aliens will continue to break all of our laws every day they are illegally in the USA. These are dishonest liars and thieves, and they are not the kind of people we want or need in the USA.

No. By entering illegally, they burden the lives of legal immigrants and citizens. It is very selfish and takes away from the community instead of contributing to it. Why can't immigrants enter legally?

No. It's not okay. There are plenty of people from other countries who wish to better their lives by entering the US. Why should they be penalized why scofflaws who enter and diminish the chances of other immigrants. That's just not fair. Those who are willing to follow the laws ought to be given preference over those who ignore them.

I'd like to better my life by moving into the Mellon mansion. Is THAT okay?

NO - from a legal/criminal justice POV.

NO - from over 90% of the taxpaying citizens' POV

NO - from a blue collar worker's POV

YES - from a businessman's POV

YES - from the BungleBush POV (see above POV)

Guess who wins!

No, they need to fix their own country and prosper there. There are billions of people across the globe who are living in worse conditions as we speak and the US can't handle them all.
