i saw a repeat of spike lee's hbo special, which had a segment in which bush came to new orleans and very earnestly promised whatever it would take.

was that just a photo opportunity or a real nice sound byte?

if you did not like my question, instead of rephrasing or rewording it, why don't you pose your own? the people of new orleans are no lazier or worthless than anywhere else.

jube, or whatever your bald head is named-that was footage from the white house, not anywhere else. bush said it. he made the promise. spike lee only included it in his documentary.

if the other flood victims receive nothing or everything, what does that have to do with new orleans?

i knew exacly what answers that i would get. i was not surprised by the hostility and callousness displayed. have a nice day all.

i will say one last time, bush said it. no one else. was he lying? why did he say it? was he just trying to get out of town? BUSH SAID IT, NOT SPIKE LEE!

tell the truth about bush and every deranged con comes out from under a rock.

Bush has absolutely no interest in "the people" so he will never fulfill his promise there.

Spike Lee fakementary you actually take with credit and truth? That is like say Michael Moore is 100% qualified and right in talking about what he does in his films too.

Remember when President Bush warned New Orleans Mayor and Governor and they said no no we can handle it, and the buses that were underwater because no one used them thinking, for whatever logical reasoning there was, they could still live a normal life during a hurricane? Of course not, no one wants to remember anything that makes Bush look good so they try everything they can to make him look bad like always. Like these "war crimes" and "illegal" actions he took. But if people remember the reports and international information all said Saddam had WMDs and even had training camps for Al-Qaeda. But people for some reason anymore remember what they want even if it untrue. For the hurricane Katrina victims, well, it was a hurricane; high winds, thunderstorms, tornadoes, and flooding. Stop blaming Bush for mother nature.

Is that your Icon of information on this administration, Spike Lee? Move over Rosie, the hood is taking over.

The people affected by Katrina have stolen all they were allowed to steal and then some.

President George Walker Bush, the 43rd President of these Great United States of America, Policeman to the World, Defender of the Down Trodden, Keeper of the Keys to the Universe, Champion to the Under Dogs, Righteous Litigator of All Time. Will not pay another dime until the affected victims move back to N.O. and vote No-Good Nagin and Blind Gal Blanco out of office.

Is Nagin still living in Texas 3 days a week?

Well, in my opinion I dont think New Orleans should be rebuilt. I was there the night before Katrina hit. They said evacuate and I did. I then had to return to New Orleans and spend the next 6 months there because the GOVT signed a contract with my company to restore its communications.
The city is below sea level. Why should tax payers continue to rebuild this slum time after time? If people choose to live there, it should be at their own risk with no expectation of tax payer help. I hated New Orleans before Katrina and I hate it even worse now.

As a sufferer of Katrina i've got self assurance for my section enable down by the shortcoming of Federal reaction. George Bush did no longer see it as a precedence to help a city crammed with impoverished black people. honest certainty. in spite of race, socioeconomic status or guidance point, each and every American citizen has the wonderful to equivalent emergency reaction in existence threatening situations. regrettably this became no longer presented to us and as a consequence the city has exchange into against the regulation ridden hell hollow. The previous international, unique lifestyle remains, however the recommendations and destruction that Katrina further looks in each and every face. George Bush failed an entire city, yet by some ability, each and every physique has forgotten.

Better question ... when are the people of New Orleans going to step up and take responsibility for themselves and rebuilding their city instead of whining about people not "giving" them enough. Personal responsibility folks ... it's not a tough concept to learn, but it's not the government's job nor responsibility to take care of people. We need to get back to the principles that made this country great. Billions of dollars have been spent in N.O. and two years later people are still trying to milk the system.

Who cares. You have no idea how rude the people in New Orleans are. They rolled into town (Houston) like they owned the place and demanded free food and shelter. Now that Houston flooded this past week are we going to get that free FEMA debit card so we can buy expensive purses and HDTVs?

Actually, the federal government has done way more than should have been done. Remember, the government spends our tax dollars. There is not justification for taking money from one person to give it to another.

People who live below sea level and in the path of hurricanes assume a risk.

Well you can only provide so much, if the people, yes the lazy people of New Orleans, the ones who want it all done for them, won't help themselves, I guess they won't get anything. And they deserve nothing....New Orleans flooded because of the environmental wackos, who in 1977 filed suit to stop the Army Corp of Engineers from built flood control gates, because it would harm the wet lands.
