My friend's wife of 3 years has been a friend of mine for at least 12 years, through grade school and high school, which she attended. He is a Citizen, she is not.
She recently graduate from college and is a Registered Nurse in Arizona. She was born in Mexico and was raised here in the States. She wants to contribute to the society that afforded the schooling(paid for by the state). She has been told that in order for her to be a citizen or to get a worker's visa, she would have to go back to mexico and apply. The catch is, the city in Mexico has denied everyone for at least 10 years and prevents her from entering the US for at least 10 years.

What can she do to stay here and work?
They have a beautiful daughter and I would hate for her to miss out on a proper education that her mother received.

My fiance's mother passed away last week from colin cancer, she didn't have a will & his step dad is telling him that he isn't intitled to ANY of his mother's esstate. My ? to all is... whats the low down on probate? We have a lawyer. But we want to know what are some things we need to know before all of this gets blown up in court. All we know about his mom is that she had...a car in her name, she owned half of the home, and half of her huspands truck. We know that she had Life Insuance, & a retirement plan. My fiance's step dad is also telling us that he is going to get rid of his mom's car. Is this legal? Can he do any of this without even putting anything into probate? Is there anyone out there that has been in this same situation that might have some advice? The reason I am asking about all of this is because my fiance' has already lost one parent (his father) 2 years ago... He was left out of everything because of his stupid step mom. Please Help!

The local surplus place has some US Issue Military Skis. These appear to be something akin to an Alpine Touring/Randonee ski. It has a Fritzsche binding that appears it can be locked down for DH skiing. I've seen other (older?) skis that have a telemark binding but none like these before. They also come equipped with climbing skins. The guy at the surplus store thinks they are XC but I know a little more than he does about skis.

Any 10th Mountain Vets (or anyone else) have any idea if I'm right about the skis?

Also...what style boots might have been worn with them? They look like they would hold a plastic mountianeering or a AT boot, but I've never seen US Military Issue plastic mountaineering boots.

My sixteen year old cousin got arrested for shoplifting a few months ago, (please don't judge) and she was instructed by the court to take a shoplifting-prevention class by the 26th of August. She is signed up to take the class on the 25th, and we want to know if she needs to mail/fax in her certificate of completion by the next day, or if it is mostly important that she does it by then??????
We appreciate any and all answers!! THANK YOU!

I don't understand it, please help me.

Dr. Paul is running for President, promises to get rid of the IRS, never voted to raise taxes, voted against the "Patriot" Act and was one of the few Congressmen who voted against "Operation Iraqi Freedom" from the every beginning.

So, are the American people asleep? Just the promise of getting rid of the IRS should be enough to win him the presidency.

So, why is Dr. Paul considered a "long shot" candidate with a political platform that should appeal to most Americans?

Doesn't it seem that the news only acknowledges how many Americans die in the Iraq War? They ignore the Iraqis, who are dying at a far greater rate as a result of this war. The number of American casualties is well-known to be about 3700 or so, which is more people than the amount of people killed by Osama bin Laden on 9/11 (the official number for 9/11 is 2974).

However, estimates of the number of dead Iraqis range well over 700,000. Why isn't this ever reported by the media?

For example, on Thursday the 27th of August this year, there were 2 Americans killed, but also at least 72 Iraqis (see http://www.antiwar.com/updates/?articleid=11494 ).

Could the media not be reporting the Iraqi casualty numbers because they don't want to expose just how awful the War in Iraq is so that the war can continue longer? Isn't the number of dead Iraqis just as newsworthy as the number of dead Americans? If that is the case, why isn't it being widely reported?

I heard today there's a family in California who had a son killed in Iraq a few days ago. They also had another son killed in Iraq in 2004. They had three sons. Now there is only one left.

Questions for Bush supporters:

What did their two sons die for? (please DON'T give us the "freedom and democracy" or "fighting terrorism" or "liberating Iraq" shpiel--those of us who live in the real world are tired of hearing that propaganda).

What would you tell their parents (whose lives have now been ruined) if you were able to talk to them?

If you are one of the small minority of people in the U.S. who still supports this war, how do you sleep at night?

They would be disgusted at the way the race card is abused.

They way people cry racisim for thing that have nothing to do with.

I think they would be disgusted with Al Sharptounge and Jesse Jackass and the mockery they make of us.

Just my opinion......

In Arizona, if the District Court has records of a defendant being served on a date different then the defendant's personal log book, which date is correct? I'm a plaintiff and the defendant says they were served on a date different than the date of service on the summons. It shows somebody from their company signed on 7/23 yet their company log books indicates 08/03. Based on the date of service in court, they defaulted, yet their books say they made it on time. Please help if you can!! Or at least direct me to a case in which clarification was shown. Thanks!

I mean come on, if the amnesty really failed because of racism wouldn't affirmative action go too? What about school segregation and the busing situation? Wouldn't it be really easy to pass laws barring anchor babies from citizenship and preventing illegals from ANY benefits and ALL educational opportunities? And if it were about race wouldn't Mexican-Americans support amnesty in much larger numbers? If it were only about race there wouldn't be so many minorities speaking out against illegals? Face it, the race card is played out already and nobody believes it EXCEPT the pro-illegals themselves. Confront all the VALID reasons Americans have against the illegals if you want to be taken seriously. Take steps to remedy the negative impact the illegals are having on our society if you really want us to accept them here.

The full deployment of the surge was this week. Yet so many liberals already declared the surge lost, even before we were fighting it?

Why are so many liberals rooting against America and want us to lose? Those people refused to give the soldiers a chance to attain victory in the surge?

I don't care if you're conservative, liberal, black, white, man or woman. This is just bad. It's bad enough that most of the Whitehouse won't answer to subpoenas, spying on American citizens, and arresting dissenters that say they don't like Bush but now they have to be subject to a court order to show the US the new Global Warming reports. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,2940...

Have you ever in your life(seriously) ever seen such dissent and deliberate violations of the constitution and the American people.
