We got a letter claiming that we were taken to court in 2000 and owe $3500. After a judgement is filed how long do companies have to collect the money before the judgement is invalid? Or is it ever invalid? They claim its a default judgement, but we can't recall ever being served. I live in MO if that helps out.

Am I the only sick of the UK and US being portrayed as morally bankrupt capitalist opportunists? We do have our faults but critics forget so easily the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan before we intervened - How many Halabjuhs (forgive the spelling) have occured in the West and how many homosexuals have been stoned to death?
I am tired of hearing argumentsabout moral equivalence between the West and the rest of the world.
I understand and endorse the arguments for intervention in Darfur and Zimbabwe - however that does not detract from the fact that Iraq and Afghanistan were hateful regimes.
The late 20th century belief that all cultures are equal is ridiculous - ask how many liberals how they would like to live in Saudi Arabia for example.
Too many people in Europe and America seem to have forgotten that we are the exception in the world rather than the rule - democracy only really exists in Western Europe and Northern America

We live in the state of Texas and attend public schools. My question is: is the school district within it's legal rights to make boys have a certain hair length? Ex. not touching the collar or no longer than ear? We have no religous or ethnic reason for my son to keep long hair so is there any legal standing for us to fight this?

The Royal 22e Régiment is an infantry regiment, and the most famous francophone organization of the Canadian Forces. The regiment comprises three Regular Force battalions, two Primary Reserve battalions, and a band, making it the largest regiment in the army. The ceremonial home of the regiment is La Citadelle in Quebec City, where the regimental museum is housed. The regiment is nicknamed the Van Doos, a corruption of vingt-deux, French for "twenty-two." The regiment's RHQ is located in Quebec City, with all three of its regular battalions stationed at various bases in the province of Quebec. The regiment serves as the "local" infantry regiment for Quebec.

I just found out that my sister took the title of my vehicle and signed my name to put the car into her name. This probably happened about a year ago without my consent. I let her drive the car for a while, but now she has the title to her name. Isn't this a felony, to forge someone else's signature and put the car under her name? Also while I was out of town, she even sent a written notice in my name giving her permission to enter my house. Being a clear infraction of the law, what can I do, and what are the penalties she must endure if I press charges? Is this jail time or a slap on the wrist? Any advice would be appreciated.

What's your opinion about this statement? (Please keep in mind that this is a statement that I found, my opinion may or may not agree with this statement. Thanks)

Gay Marriage Should Be Legal:

It is against the law to discriminate based on race, age, or gender.

Some people believe that homosexuality is wrong and therefore, gays should not be allowed to get marriage.

But then, some people believe the moon is made cheese. That doesn't mean they're right.

Some people believe if marriage is love, then people should be allowed to marry their pets, children, siblings, or multiple partners at the same time.

But pets and children can't give consent, siblings can produce birth defects, and marriage is also about monogamy, not polygamy.

Whether you believe homosexuality is right or the aliens from the planet Bandark visit you at might, you are entitled to those beliefs.

You are not, however, allowed to revoke someones rights based solely on those beliefs.

FB&CI = Faith Based & Community Initiatives. I believe as one nation under God, Mr. Bush did a great deed to establish FB&CI to promote faith in America and keep America standing on the rock of God. For abortion of which I am against, it is murder when semen and egg concieve a life has started and the bible says "thou shall not murder". That is the 5th commandment on the 10 commandments. I believe it is injustice for that life and not liberty at all. For same sex marriage, of which I am against as well, the bible teaches against it in 1st Chronicles 6:9. Homosexuality doesn't reproduce the human race. If God had meant for homosexuality would he had given Adam another man. There are many things I think could be established while Bush is still in command. P.S. I truly believe as the bible says a marriage should only be a union between one woman and one man.

Now that I have your attention :-)... what do you think of this article?
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/082307C.shtml

"Last week, after an investigation spurred by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, the Pentagon abruptly announced that it would not be delivering "freedom packages" to our soldiers in Iraq, as it had originally intended.

"What were the packages to contain? Not body armor or home-baked cookies. Rather, they held Bibles, proselytizing material in English and Arabic and the apocalyptic computer game "Left Behind: Eternal Forces" (derived from the series of post-Rapture novels), in which "soldiers for Christ" hunt down enemies who look suspiciously like U.N. peacekeepers."

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful, hopefully thought-provoking, answers!
