FB&CI = Faith Based & Community Initiatives. I believe as one nation under God, Mr. Bush did a great deed to establish FB&CI to promote faith in America and keep America standing on the rock of God. For abortion of which I am against, it is murder when semen and egg concieve a life has started and the bible says "thou shall not murder". That is the 5th commandment on the 10 commandments. I believe it is injustice for that life and not liberty at all. For same sex marriage, of which I am against as well, the bible teaches against it in 1st Chronicles 6:9. Homosexuality doesn't reproduce the human race. If God had meant for homosexuality would he had given Adam another man. There are many things I think could be established while Bush is still in command. P.S. I truly believe as the bible says a marriage should only be a union between one woman and one man.

The Bible endorses the union between one man and multiple women. The Bible endorses murdering anyone who doesn't follow God's words, including gays and little girls who disobey their fathers. By that reasoning, a fetus could be said to be disobeying the father by attempting to be born without the father's consent, and for such impudence, the Bible gives the father permission to kill the child. This is your wonderful Christian Constitution that you must live by, just as you are suggesting everyone else live by the American Constitution, right?

SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. AMERICA IS NOT A RELIGIOUS COUNTRY (at least in the government) you people need to stop letting the church motivate your political agendas. Even the Pope doesn't know what God really wants. There is no way that this conservative christian right group is doing God's will. I don't know if you know this, but in the Justice system, the ten commandments don't exist. Plus, there is no way the federal government is going to allow itself to get so religious that it is going to start "promoting faith". America was never, will never, and isn't on any rock of God. A ball of cells no larger than a pin needle could be called human life, but the justice system is not to interpret that. There are still extreme cases, like rape, where abortions should be allowed. Also, making abortions illegal will lead to back-alley abortions.

There is a difference between the bible and the constitution. If you can, just try to read the constitution.

P.S. Stop being homophobic. They aren't scary, just a little more colorful. Don't be afraid.

Jeez-louise, not another "america was founded as a christian nation" tool. Read biographies on the more prominant of the founding fathers and you will discover that a preponderence of the framers of the Constitution were Deists, not christians. Deists beleive in God but reject organized religion and any scritpure, including the bible.

That being the case, Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, Hamilton, Paine, Revere and others would tell you that the intent of the constitution was to make sure that blue-nosed idiots keep out of other people's business.

Oh, and Dubya? Worst. President. Ever.

Hon, lt isn't about what is right and wrong, it is about freedom to choose. This is a God given right, and if you choose against God you deal with the consequences. But what is not a God given right is choosing for someone else. ONLY in cases of that happening could I support a law against anything, but I don't believe we need an amendment to do it.

Bush wants to create a Theocracy where religion is bias of the government. To bad these moral Christians don't practice what they preach.

So if you believe in the bible--why is it that "Christians" like you continue to openly support the murder of millions of people, invasion of other countries and suppressing their forms of government, corruption, deceit, lies, and theft--from those who claim to be Christian (like Bush)--and are just as immoral and faithless when it comes to cheating on your spouses and are as gay as a one-dollar bill? (Does Tom Haggard ring a bell?)

You can preach what you want, but until you start walking the walk, I'm inclined to believe that you're nothing but a sham--and only a "soldier for the cause of immorality and unrighteousness".

Because someone who says God and politics in one breath obviously cares little about the little rule of seperation between "church and state"--especially when it comes to people's rights to do what they want with their lives.

I am completely against abortion as well. What difference does it make if the baby is inside or outside the womb? It doesn't, so by saying it's ok to have an abortion, they're saying it's ok to kill a defenseless child who had nothing to do with your stupid decision. Might as well let the people who kill their kids get away with it, too, since it's all the same in my eyes. Rape victims, if you don't want your child (which wouldn't have been formed if it wasn't God's will), put them up for abortion. No need to kill a poor, unborn child. That could've been the next Einstein, or the scientist who could was supposed to discover a cure for AIDS or breast cancer. So many couples aren't blessed with the ability to create a child, and those that have abortions take it for granted. I also don't believe that same sex marriage should be legal either. My beliefs are very much like yours. Not too many people think like this, most are "pro-choice" and believe that homosexuality should be more acceptable now in the 21st century. Homosexuality is no less of a sin now than it was before, it just seems to be the thing to do now more than anything else. So yes, I agree there should be a law against abortion and same sex marriage for the same reasons you stated, but you know that'll never happen.

P.S. Nothing anyone says can justify abortion, all religious beliefs aside, because believe it or not, I'm not religious, I haven't even been to church since Easter of 2005 and I was forced to go. All humans, even those unborn, deserve a chance at life, regardless of how they conceived. All pregnancies happen for a reason. If you aren't ready for a baby, birth control pills are less expensive than abortions. As far as homosexuals, I have tons of gay friends. I don't agree with their lifestyle, but they are human. God teaches love thy neighbor, I don't "hate" gays or lesbians or people who have abortions. But since when did all of that stop being a sin and become "acceptable"? When it became trendy? The thing to do?

another P.S. I'm catholic

I am a Republican and I don't agree with either. If your sister was raped on the way home from work, should she be forced to carry that child to term and then suffer through a delivery? I don't think so. As for gays, you must not know any personally or you would never talk that way. Gays and lesbians are just like the rest of us. The go to work, church, are kind to their neighbors, shop at the store, sweep their floors, etc. You sound like a very judgemental person. I don't think God likes for you to judge other people.

I appreciate your opinion and respect your commitment to your religion; however I do not share your opinions or religious beliefs. While you and I are both entitled to our opinions, you cannot codify the opinions of one religious group into law. My religious beliefs do not lead me to the same conclusions as yours do, and it is not the government's job to legislate morality or pronounce one religion superior to all others. It would be best for each of us to follow the dictates of our religion in our personal lives and leave others to live as they may.
