I believe that we have the opportunity here to communicate with and, ultimately, understand the different cultures and societies that make up this world. I love people. I love getting to know people. I believe that we, as people, cannot love that which we do not understand. I want to know about the people in those countries that are torn apart with conflict and oppression. I want these people to know that they are loved and that there are many who are praying for them in their time of such chaos. My question arises from being concerned that my interest in wanting to know/understand/love what-some-might-call our "enemies" might be construed as my not being faithful to my country. We are living in a land of fear right now and I do not want to contribute to this thought. I want to support peace and harmony but I must live within the laws of my country, must always be a patriot of the USA. Are there boundaries here that I should know? Can I reach out in peace to war-torn souls?

With the ever increasing size of China's military and the constant upgrades and money being fed into it, it is only a matter of time before they are stronger and more powerful than the USA. They have far more people and more and more are being enrolled in the military. My question to all American's is this:

Should America allow China to continue it's growth and rise in power or should we do something to prevent them from becoming the super power before it's too late so we can continue to retain that title and be the supreme country?

In the areas of ...Reason, Fact, Knowledge and Truth? I believe so and have ever since we went to war in Iraq. Nobody agreed with me then (but I was working in the military at that time too). Was I wrong? Am I wrong?

the article speaks of the children being starved to almost death..but, did the 'parents' starve themselves to almost death as well? i mean, if you can't feed the kid cause you can't move away from the wide screen tv...i'm just positive that you can't feed yourself either for the same reasons...right?

people like this should automatically get their reproductive organs removed once they have committed such crimes...this will rule out procreation and the chance of another child suffering unnecessarily...

this is just another example of how those who have the power to change society, chose to do so without consideration to those who will suffer the consequences...mental illness...once again, becomes a joke...by this time next year, yes! playing videos and good old fashion bad parenting are now a part of the DSM-IV family..welcome to mental illness

what is your opinion?

Look at all the laws you have against social taboos and vices. instead of using grossly exagerated hypothetical and extremelly unlikely scenarios to try to justify these laws.... Why not let people do as they want so long as its not effecting you? if you choose to be disturbed by it than you deserve to be disturbed by it.

My question here is..

COULD this be a possible, viable solution to the problems in Afghanistan - RADICAL though it sounds and appears AT THIS TIME...?

I was asked to find 5 different people to identify what crime was committed in each of the following situations. I thought a good way would be to ask the question in this form. Thanks in advance for all constructive input.

1) While passing Juan's house one night, Sarah sees a portable tv set left unattended on Juan's lawn. Sarah takes the tv set, carries it home and tells everyone she owns it.

2) While passing Juan's house one night, Sarah sees Juan outside with a portable tv set. Holding Juan at gunpoint, Sarah forces him to give up the tv set and then runs away with it.

3) While passing Juan's house one night, Sarah sees a portable tv set in a window. Sarah breaks the front-door lock, enters, and leaves with the set.

While P2P file sharing technology is completely legal, many of the files traded through P2P are copyrighted. Unless you live in Canada where citizens are shielded from P2P copyright lawsuits, downloading music, movie, and TV files will put you at risk for a civil lawsuit in any other country. These lawsuits usually take the form of class-action suits, filed against groups of users who are logged as blatantly copying and distributing copyrighted materials. Recently, the MPAA and RIAA, along with the governments of England and Australia, took several thousand users to court, demanding that they pay thousands of dollars in copyright infringement penalties. Please keep this lawsuit risk in mind when you install and use any BitTorrent software in the USA, Europe, or Asia.

I recently heard ($Deity only knows if its true) that if a Police Dog gets shot or injured while on duty, you cannot (or would not have the time to) get to a veterinary surgeon, and its injuries are life threatening, that you can take them to a Civilian (or Human) hospital and demand that they be treated as a police officer injured while on duty would be, since all K9's are apparently listed as Police Officers.

Can someone please tell me if this is correct, whether there is any truth in it at all, or whether this is absolute 100% BS.

Thanks

Assuming the hype about mutations that hypothetically occur through multiple generations of immediate inc3st so as to justify moral fascism are true...

What if the parties involved use contraceptives or are gay? Why should they go to prison then?

Just for being "EUWWWW THTS GROSS!!"?

Should "gross" carry a prison sentence? if thats the case haven't most people done something gross thus deserving to go to prison?

Why did Jesus say NOTHING about homosexuality, but said dozens and dozens of quotes against the wealthy, yet cons claim that Jesus would support their pro-hate agenda?

TO realistic people, Jesus was even more far left than Hillary!

Pools are not by chance by the voters or the candidates. Pools destined by choice of whom is chosen. Lets say their was a race between two people- The best was to win. It would not be because he was best now would it, it would be because out of akll the candidates he was the best choice am I right? See we have a choice to choose and we choose everyday it is just if we choose right or not. And also what is the right and wrong choice everyday. Let your heart lead the way.

All I hear form cons is intense rage, anger, hatred, etc...

They crap on the vast majority of what liberal Jesus taught:

avoid placing value in material possession
Sell all your possessions and give the proceeds to the poor
Never speak poorly of your fellow man
turn the other cheek
love your neighbor as yourself

Of course not all cons claim to be Christian, yet even the ones who claim to be dont act like it in any way shape or form! They are the false prophets and ravenous wolves Jesus talks about.
