In the areas of ...Reason, Fact, Knowledge and Truth? I believe so and have ever since we went to war in Iraq. Nobody agreed with me then (but I was working in the military at that time too). Was I wrong? Am I wrong?

fear is the great motivator. people will give up just about anything to stay safe. Fear defeats reason and without reason democracy is nothing.

Democracy has been challenged since its first concept. As long as the people are willing to fight to keep it, we do not have anything to fear.
Americans sometimes take some time to angry enough to take action. We are getting their now over the illegal immigration issue.

Democracy is not a dead institution but a dynamic one, and there is no perfect model of democracy anywhere in the world, and there will none ever! For instance, the so called American model is unfit for application anywhere else!
