some people have suggstd dictatorships when asked how we can change india for th better...
but trust me dictatorship is sumthing whch i m sure u dnt want...! why?
1. indias economy, which has suddenly hit an all time high, will take a nosedive
2. capitalism and globalisation will end
3. people will be harassed
4.civil rights will be taken away
5.protests and civil wars will take place
etc etc
trust me democracy is the best form of govt., on paper and in practical terms...!
the only thing we need to change india is a stronger judiciary, police and administrative system, not a person, who looks like the best option today and turns into a monster tomorrow. (eg hitler, maximillian robespierre)
if u r not satisfied, read about dictatorships in the contemporary world, then contact me.

First and foremost India does not have the dictatorship or the dictator.
But.
Reading between lines.
My answer is.
NO!
Democracy is the best form of government known to the world with all its faults aside.
In democracy people can make mistake and elect wrong people to govern them but they can change it in no time by recall or by just waiting for next election.
Once the dictator is in power it is not easy to remove a power full dictator.
Indian politician need to clean up their acts and it is the responsibility of the Indians to force them to do so at next election or by individual recalls and prosecutions before or even after the next election.
It is your choice too if you are an Indian national.

No, all that India needs to be a superpower is that the educated people like you and me should understand our responsibility well and contribute to its prosperity by our deeds. Had we been realising this since we got freedom the scenario would have been quite different. We call names to the politicians and say damn things about them and escape even the most important role to be played as a citizen of a democracy - VOTING - just on the pretext that all the politicians are the same and we will not vote to any. While saying so we do not realise that this is our vote which could make the difference because we will always be shosing a lesser evil, even if the assumption of all the politicians being evil is correct. If we would be chosing the least evil since our independence the best eveil would have come out by now to rule the country. This is we who waste most of the precious resources of the country which are not in abundance and leave the weaker section deprived of, for instance, drinking water, electricity, cooking gas, fuel etc. etc. The bold and clear question infront of we the intelect and educated people is WHO GETS DIRTY TO CLEAN THE HOUSE OF OUR OWN. In fact the weaker and uneducated section of our society is not even aware of the responsibilities of a responsible citizen. So how can we expect him to have less children and not increase the already burgeoning population of the country. Again this is we who can educate them at least as much as it is necessary to read and write. Do we not encounter in our every day life at least one such illiterate person who comes across our routine life and we can educate him/her?

It is a saying, if angels had seen currency notes they would not return to God. See your neighbour, dictatorship since 1958, has that country changed? No it is worst. Same old dirty tricks to implicate poor in court cases, eversince new ways and means to extract bribe, evernew technics to involve innocent people by police to involve people in criminal and and civil litigation. Magistrates, judges, officials in government departments, politicians and their workers; every one is racing around to pile up money not being certain how long he would be holding that power. Dictatorship in Pakistan brought havoc on poor and middle class. All the retired generals, brigadiers, Lieutient Generals & Majors were transferred to civilian posts by the dictators, the results corruption and more corruption and the rate of bribery sore sky high in government departments.
Ayub Khan, the first dictator bought 10 villages in the name of his sons, all the agencies like Gandhara, General Electric and the mineral mines were allotted to his sons and daughter which they are enjoying until now. Zia-ul-Haq (another dictator) his son is a minister in the present government. Mr. Bhutto who surrendered himself to Mrs. Gandhi bought half of the Sindh Province and the daughter multiplied her wealth in Karachi buying every big business and prominent land when she came to power which until today she owns it. Nawaz Sharif, another so called corrupt industrialist owns the wealth which will take him for atleast four generations.
So my friend, the list is endless. Dictatorship cannot change any nation but bring miseries to common man on top. So thank God at least you are a free nation, the largest democratic country in the world for which you should be proud of. That is a different subject how to change the society for the betterment on which we may discuss some times later. (NRI)

I really think it can. I know for a fact that a great leader and thinker like Shri Shubhash Chandra Bose wanted India to be under a military rule for 5 to 10 years before ushring in democracy into the country.
For solving persistent problems like kashmir and public demonstrations by religeous outfits on the smallest of issues we need a strong leader who does not have to always think about his votebank before making a decision.

Dictatorship will aggravate the already existing corruption in India. In democracy, at least you can criticize the Govt for its faults. But, you cannot do the same if there is dictatorship.

If a dictator takes power in India, first of all, he will meet with a severe oposition from the people. To maintain his power in a populous country he should rule with an ironhand. That means he will not get time to make reforms. So don't ever think of anything like that. \\JAI HIND\\
