does it mean more to be a army ranger than a marine i am considering this instead wont i see more combat as a ranger?

I was curious regarding the legality of using an alias. I know for business purposes, one must register as a DBA. What about using an alias for personal reasons? Its not for criminal or otherwise malicious purposes, just to maintain an additional level of anonymity in certain situations. I'm not talking fake ID's or anything either. Just looking to use another name when I want to (with obvious limitations such as air travel).

If it helps any, this is mainly for New York.

My parents are under the impression that I am out of control and that I need someone to whip me into shape. I live at home with them right now. I am not a bad kid, I am 19 and I don't do drugs or drink, I don't stay out late. I just really don't agree with some of their rules. They have told me that if I do not join the army within the next few weeks that I have to move out. They gave me a car. It is mine, but they now claim it is theirs.

So what I need to do is join the Army/ Airforce and get enough money for a car and an apartment. Can I join the Army reserve and get a sign up bonus big enough for that? Or will I have to join active duty and give in to them? It feels like they are forcing me into this commitment that will take years of my life.

i work as a secretary in the lobby in a apartament building in NYC. i work night shift 7 pm- 7 am. my menager lives in this building, he is 62 years old and psycho, the main boss of the company is in CA. my menager used to come over to the office in the middle of the night and used to make stupid comments that" he wants to bang me". then he just came over and stood next to me and sticked his penis out of his pants and said" make me come". i freaked out and he left. i do not wanna leave this job, because i make great money, i have lots of debts to pay off. what should i do? can i sue him? should i buy a hidden camera in order to proove in the court what he's doing? otherwise noone is going to believe me.

Regarding specifically the Scooter Libby sentencing, but please no political hatred by either conservative or liberal, thank you.

The question is: Does the Office of the President have the authority to COMMUTE a sentence? In terms of having the jurisdiction to do so?

I understand the President may PARDON a convicted person, as Mr Clinton did an excessive number of times (most in Presidential history by far). While perfectly legal, I feel that it was abused.

The current President COMMUTED the sentence, which is less than a full pardon. While I do support Mr Libby, and I believe that he was wrongly convicted in that a crime never took place, I do not think there is precedent for the President to COMMUTE a sentence vs a full pardon. My justification is that commutation is a judicial tool, not an executive tool.

May I please have INTELLIGENT and not politically charged answers please. Thanks.

I am an enlisted soldier in the Army National guard (11B). I am in the ROTC SMP program as well. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how hard airborne training is. Do they smoke you a lot, how often do you run (etc..)? Also, how should I go about getting an airborne slot? Should I go through my unit or ROTC. How do I get started?

That is a list of all the Clinton Pardons.

Presidents pardon people and commute sentences. It is part of their job description.

Just look at that list. There has to be at least 200 names or more on it.

So where was the outrage when President Clinton pardoned all those people. Why does Bush get attacked and Clinton get a pardon?
