To be some's legal guardian you need: go to family court and prove that the minor will be better with you.
The court will take into account your age, maturity, economical status, background and if you can provide a safe and healthy eviroment for the minor.
Even if your parent agree, the court migh say another thing if they feel you can't provide a safe enviromet for the minor. If your parent don't agree then is almost imposible for you to win unless you can prove the minor is in danger (but even if you do, th court might senf the minor to a foster home if they think you are not a good choice).
She just cannot move with you without the consent of her parents or you might get arrested for taking ilegal custody of a minor.
You need to expalin more abouit your family situation.

Depends where you live. Are you Canadian or American? If you are Canadian and you are over 18 you can be a legal guardian, I'm not sure the laws in the US though.

You can certainly petition the court to become her guardian. Also, she could try to become emancipated (a legal adult even though she's only 17) and then she could choose to live with you. But, she would have to be self-supporting for that.

You do have the right to be her guardian, but whoever her current guardians are (presumably your parents) would have to give permission. If they do not, it will become a legal nightmare quite quickly.

Depends on the state you live in. I dont know if you can legally be declared her "guardian", but maybe. Nothing wrong with her living with you though, as far as I know.

Yes. She can legally do that if you go to the court house and get some paper work filled out. Or it can be easier if your agree w/ your parents to let her stay with you without going through all the hassle, but that is up to you guys. I don't know your situation!
i believe she is old enough to choose legally where she wants to live.

You could, at least in theory. If your parents are still on the scene, they would either have to agree or the courts would have to remove their parental rights first.

Since she is underage, you would need legal guardianship with power of attorney to be able to make decisions for her in her behalf.
