why does the media only ask the military leadership about what the soldiers think about being in iraq? i know from experience, iraq 2004-2005, that if they would ask the soldiers if the occupation is worth the loss of lives they would get a different answer. if they had asked the guys in my unit i can hoestly say that the majority would have said, being over there is a joke! and that there is no justification for being there. we went tere because we lost 2000 plus lives in the 911 attack, but we have lost a great deal more while being there, is it worth it? and why? and please no crap about fighting for our freedom, because i wasnt fighting for the freedom of the american people when i was there.

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) just finished speaking on the Senate floor voicing his concerns and opposition on the Immigration Reform Bill. Do you think he will change any minds of those that may still be undecided in the Senate?

From the looks of things, this woman needs to get {blankety-blanked}- and badly! She has to be pretty unhappy to be such a hateful, spiteful, combative, confrontational harpy. She needs a man to help her get in touch with her feminine side (if she still has one). Anybody know a caring, compassionate guy out there that is willing to put up with her shrill voice, cocky attitude, and b*tchy disposition? A guy who can see the real her underneath those manly tears?

Here is why I ask this question I am a conservative I have supported policies of George Bush and republicans in the past, when I conclude they are not doing what is in the best interest of the nation I am not afraid to rip them a new one (ie the immigration bill) true conservatives are not afraid to critisize our own.

Here is what I don't see on yahoo or in the TV media never a critisism of the Democats or their policies I can,t believe that most democrats are happy with the perfomance of their party and if not why the silence is being a good follower more important than being objective?

It always sticks in my mind that in the 60s and 70s people would have mass protests and one outstanding leader would speak on the behalf of the people. I remember reading about riots in the street over excessive taxation, outstanding laws, or the vietnam war, etc..... Do you think anyone cares about what is going on with government, oil companies, taxation, etc...if it doesn't affect people directly? Do you know people that are passionate enough to make stand for the benefit of you to make your world a better place? Are we letting our children down or is there only a different mindset between then and now?

I think I can confidently state that most Americans want the border sealed or secured. I also think it can be said that most Americans want a fair approach to immigration . . . but where is the underlying craziness coming from - minefields in the border, shoot to kill . . . Even though I support immigration reform I'm embarrased with the company I am keeping to do so. Any thoughts?

In this poll He edged out Abraham Lincoln, who abolished slavery, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King.

George Washington, the first US president who is considered the father of the nation, comes in at fourth place.

Current US President George W Bush #6 and his predecessor Bill Clinton #7 , whose presidency was tarnished by the Monica Lewinski sex scandal, are both in the top 10.

I personally put him as the third best president behind Lincoln and Washington. The worst american and president of all time is Jimmy Carter.

You know you are great when other countries are building statues of you;

Warsaw to erect statue to Reagan

"Polish admirers of Ronald Reagan say they will erect a statue of the late US president in Warsaw to thank him for helping to end communist rule."

STEEL PIN BLUES

Last week, I saw a young friend, of several months, in possession of a sharpened steel pin. The type of pin used on building sites to mark out lines. When I saw him with it he was using it to scratch grafitti into the stone work of public building. Realising that he could cause greater damage with it, and getting himself into trouble, I took it upon myself to relive him of the pin, he resisted. I left him with it.

However, I made the custodian of the building aware of the situation. He realising the potential damage that might be exacted out upon the fabric relieved the youngster of the pin.

Since then, I have been subjected to the most foul-mouthed diatribe from this young lad. Its also quite obvious his parents appear to countenance his potential vandalism. He is 11yo.

I have an idea to offer amnesty to those illegals willing to help report and convict businesses who hire them in the first place. That would be thousands in fines per each person given amnesty to. Of course it would only be available to the first illegals willing to speak out. We would rack up so much money in a short time and have the means to deport those working illegally. It may even make businesses quit discriminating against US citizens when hiring. Of course those with free bus rides home won't like it but whoever said life was fair.

Ann Coulter is a political analyst and satireist. Thats her job, she's writes about politics and the players involved. Newspapers print her commentary along with many other political commentators who are left leaning like Arainna Huffinton and Goerge Steiner. Its like Hollywood asking Siskel and Ebert not to criticize anymore of their movies.
With the BBC recently admiting leftist leaning tendencies and a Gallop poll proving that only 1/5 of reporters lean Republican, Whats is Elizabeth Edwards crying about?

I know it is said that Edwards' wife told him to run regardless of her situation. I would have a VERY difficult time voting for someone that would leave his wife in her condition while he travels around the country in what could be her final bit of time. If Edwards doesn't even care about his wife enough to stay with her, how can we trust him to care for our country?

Don't tell me her "type of cancer" will allow her to live for YEARS." I work in cancer research. When cancer metastasizes to the bone, it is stage 4 and VERY serious, so don't tell me they expect her to have 10 yrs etc. You don't know this. This COULD (quite realistically, though not definitely) be her last year.

I would argue that it is impossible for anyone to achieve world domination, yet many people say if Hitler had won WW2 or the Soviets would have won the Cold War they would have subjugated the planet. It is also the goal of many supervillains in movies and cartoons. So is it possible to conquer the world or will there always be a force that rises to resist this?
