I have an idea to offer amnesty to those illegals willing to help report and convict businesses who hire them in the first place. That would be thousands in fines per each person given amnesty to. Of course it would only be available to the first illegals willing to speak out. We would rack up so much money in a short time and have the means to deport those working illegally. It may even make businesses quit discriminating against US citizens when hiring. Of course those with free bus rides home won't like it but whoever said life was fair.

I see your points and after reading them I can see where no amnesty should be rewarded. Its true they won't turn in any company because they live here tax free illegally so what was I thinking. I think border patrol should be on the same level as our military and if they have to kill to defend our country then they should have the authority to do so. I hope some good attorney can get them free. Main point is we have to start holding these companies liable for their illegal employment practices. What is our government thinking.

Will not work because we do not have the means or political conviction to attend to our National Security and secure our border. The illegals will not turn in the employers that knowingly hire illegal aliens because they still have tios and tias and cousins and brothers and sisters and parents and grandparents in MEHICO that haven't come over yet and they want them to have a place to go when they get here.

The biggest argument I always see in favor of amnesty to the criminals is that they are performing work that Americans don't want to do anyhow. That is a blatant falsehood. They do work for less money or under worse conditions than Americans are willing to accept would be more accurate. If GIVEN legal status, do you think the criminals will continue to accept sub-minimum wage and no benefits?...Absolutely not, they'd be legal, why would they work for so little?

The point that you do make is good though. We need to crack down on employers who are using illegal alien workers and fine the heck out of them for every criminal (undocumented worker in their employ). If they can not get a job in the US and we make them ineligible for social welfare programs, community supported medical care and US public schools become unavailable to their children, they'll have no desire to come here illegally.

Also about their children, a child born to a Mexican National mother and a Mexican National Father should be a Mexican National, whether born on US soil or not. We can not give US rights, liberties and benefits to a child (and naturally we let the parents stay) because his mother criminally crossed our border to have her baby here. Mexican Parents = Mexican Child; One Mexican Parent and One American Parent = Dual Citizenship until the child reaches 18 and at that point he/she must declare nationality; American Parents = American Child.

For all the racist hispanics out there, I know there are other illegals, besides Mexicans, Insert country of applicability in place of Mexico or Mexican. I use Mexico as an example merely because the vast majority of illegal aliens in this country are from Mexico.

I also believe the "Feet Dry" policy for Cuban illegals needs to be repealled. We can not grant automatic legal status from one country and not all the rest. Since the obvious answer is not to have completely open borders, Cuban illegal aliens need to be treated like illegal aliens from any other country.

No, no amnesty for any of them. Why would we want to use them to do the job our government should be doing and would you really trust someone who'd break-in to our country as a reliable liason officer to bust illegal employers? They would still not deserve any reward. You are right about one thing though, life is not fair!

No way. No amnesty for anyone. The law is the law. There are 12 -20 million of them. We have 5-7 million people in our justice system now. Do you want to give amnesty to any of them who tell on the others? Didn't think so.

We offer no amnesty to anyone that broke our laws. If someone is in this country illegally, they have broken our laws, and therefore, deserve NO amnesty. The only thing they should get is a free one-way ticket back to their native country.

WHY? by way of fact our united states is in keeping with immigration. from day one million the puritans got here familiar the land and paid us MEXICANS to be right here and domesticate the land etc. and over centuries and centuries later immediately shall we crack down on immigration? thats stupid. and likely i'm mexican and happy with it. and no amnesty isnt an selection in mexico for numerous motives. one our financial infrastructure is nowhere close to that of the U.S. and mexico replaced into under no circumstances a worldwide melting pot such by way of fact the U.S. replaced into and at present is. they could desire to be granted amnesty being that they are paying taxes and contributing to our financial equipment. and if all and sundry disagrees with me then ur an fool and probability is ur ancestors have been imnmigrants from someplace else so could desire to we deport you? the only genuine people who've rights indexed under are the yankee indians who the english got here to visit and desimated them. so inspect ur american and mexican background and u determine. and dont forget approximately the brazero application oh sure and the treaty of guadalupe hidalgo oh sure us MEXICANS have been screwed over and nevertheless are being taken care of like undesirables.

why should we give amnesty to anyone, we have laws for coming into this country, and right now we have thousands of people learning to speak English, learning our laws, and wanting to become Americans, and some have been waiting to become Americans for years. so why should we give amnesty to a bunch of law breakers who do not want to become Americans, they want America to become Mexico, they don't learn our language or our laws! we should uphold the laws we already have and deport them and let them gain entry the legal way, why reward them for breaking our laws??

We should offer tax liability amnesty to all Americans. If there's no tax profits to spend on illegals' welfare, they will all starve to death or run.

Who's with me?
