But he is a handsome, succesful, likeable man with both an illustrous career and a beautiful wife of thirty years, so he is, obviously, a Democrat.

Only an ugly hateful woman with nothing better to do would spew envy towardes him. Oh wait a minute........

Most people on here are clearly the types who deride Edwards simply for being an "ambulance chasing trial lawyer" but of course that's because they're simply parroting back the drivel they've been spoonfed all their lives. Here's a summary of Edwards' most famous case:

John prosecuted a claim on behalf of a 3 yo girl whose intestines were literally sucked out of her body when she sat down over a powerful suction pump in a kiddie pool which was inadequately covered by a flimsy plastic piece, leaving her dependent on medical assistance which would cost her and her family millions of dollars during her lifetime.

Testimony from pool design expert witnesses showed that a sturdy suction cover could have been provided at a cost of only an additional 25 CENTS, yet the defendants chose to utilize the flimsy plastic piece TO SAVE A MEASLY 25 CENTS PER PUMP.

That's how much businesses care about you. Your safety wouldn't be worth 25 CENTS to them if it weren't for people like Edwards

It's sort of weird how fixated Cons are about Edwards' appearance.

News bulletin: ALL politicians get made up for appearances, etc., do they think Fred Thompson doesn't? Does anybody really believe that Reagan didn't dye his hair? And we all know about Rudy's fondness for mascara.

Of course not. It seems pretty obvious that the Republicans are the party that has to resort to just tactics as name calling. For ex:

tim: he's a girlie man
michele: he is a jerk and a bs lawyer

good factual evidence fellow americans!

The Republicans are haters and must feel as though Edwards is a threat - otherwise, they wouldn't be trying so hard to put him down. They must not be getting enough sex from their male pages.

I thought the liberal mentality meant everyone was equal no matter what they look like... you aren't very tolerant if you call all republicans ugly. Get past the looks and vote for what you believe.

You wouldn't hear about it if he was a Republican because they get called such things all the time- to the point that they don't make a big stink whining about it.

Coulter was tactful in her assault because she is demonstrating the duplicity of the media and Liberals. Her comment that Edwards should be assassinated was in response to Bill Maher (Liberal pundit) who said the same thing about Cheney. Never heard Cheney whining, did you? Never heard the media make a big stink about it, did you?

Yes, Coulter is a blowtorch for the Right, but the actions (and lack of action) for the parties involved speaks for itself.

You are right - a Republican would have served his wife with divorce papers in the hospital.
He's making them look bad and they have to try to "frame" him for lack of manliness to neutralize his good marriage as a campaign asset.

I said somethings about Jerry Falwell when he passed, but that man WAS hateful.
John Edwards' son dies and Ann Coulter says he has a bumper sticker that says "Ask me about my dead son"

That IS truly evil.
I beg everyone here to not buy any one of books from here on end.

Not hardly, since the neo-cons love Rush Limbaugh.

You mean he is not a Republican?

I swear I can't tell the difference anymore.
