We didn't draft the soldiers that are fighting. They were patriotic and volunteered to fight to defend Americans. Are we going to defeat Al-Qeuda or simply rely on flight security to defend America?

Please don't reply saying troops are being killed or it's giving Americaa bad name, our any else of your liberal mumblings that are media made.

There is a old guy who lives in a travel trailer near my bustop
When he comes out he mumbles something about having every episode of cops and that he watches it over and over while he is on the internet, He claims to be a top contributer on yahoo answers and seem to very proud of this.
He mumbles also about being a retired cop this might be true because he has a shirt like the mall rentacops do.
I must have made him mad when me and my friend tommy were playing He yelled at us and we did make fun of him.
anyway i had this funny dream where this large sphincter said"
be wary of advice from retired cops" Im worried he will track me down and tell my mum for makin fun of him. What can I do?

My husband is in the USAF. We have been married for 6 mnths and he just left for Turkey 3 wks ago for 4 mnths. How often do they usually call? When he was in Iraq, he called 2x/wk. I've only heard from him 1 time- 1 wk ago. He gave me his email address, I email him daily with no response from him, and his address on base, I've already been mailing him packages, cards, etc. Is this normal? His Sgt told me that if I needed anything to just call them and that they would "track him down", that they are use to his father calling to check on him. What should I do? I've been keeping busy with our daughter, working out at gym and will start a part time job Monday. Is he really that busy to where he cant call me or email???
SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE

Now, some Republicans are calling Bush a liberal. They're starting to blur the definition of what a "red state" is...now, it's red counties, blue counties. They're starting to separate the "fiscal conservatives", "social conservatives" and "militaristic" arms of the Republican party. What exactly is the definition of conservative these days?

Straight news programs will report the news as it comes regardless if it makes Democrats or Republicans look bad. They did it against Clinton, Gray Davis, Gary Condit, and Howard Dean (for the scream). The individual reporters may have biases, but they try their best to remain objective.

The opinion media, on the other hand, picks a side and demonizes the other. They throw objectivity off the table and project their biases for all their worth. They look for stories that make the other side look bad and defend their side regardless of what they're caught doing. For example, Oreilly defending Rush Limbaugh's addiction.

That's what Fox News is mostly: OPINION MEDIA.

If you look at their line up it is mostly one right-wing pundit show ("news analyses show") after another.

This is not saying however, that I believe Dems are warmongers because there was a need to go to war in these cases, as there is today.

Wilson-WWI (ran for election on peace platform)
FDR-WWII (ran on platform to seek neutrality legislation)
Truman-Korea, not to mention dropping the 2 atomic bombs
JFK-first to commit ground troops to Vietnam
Clinton-"peacekeeping" missions in Somalia and Kosovo

Strange how they come up with these arguments, ain't it?

He doesn't seem to think so. He believes in the "unitary executive", which is a fancy way of saying that he isn't responsible to no one. He can have people tortured, he can have anyone killed, and he isn't responsible to congress or the constitution.

Today, he said that he didn't have to follow his own law.

Cons are always squawking about how protesting the war gives the enemy super powers. Doesn't the fact that most people are against this war give America a better image and make just BUSH responsible?

My husband just received orders for Pensacola, Florida as an (USMC) instructor. We will be there for three years and are trying to plan for housing. If you're familiar with the area, what is base housing like? What is the housing off base like? Also, what places/areas (houses-not apartments!) would you recommend or not recommend living?

I know the University of West Florida is in that area and have information on that. Are there any community colleges or other universities? (I'm interested in pursuing a master's or getting my teaching certificate.)

Any information on Pensacola would be helpful in general! Thanks in advance!

Liberals, jews, pretty much the same thing.

Over 90% of jews in congress are Democrats or side with Democrats.

87% of jews in America voted for Democrats in the last election

Doesn't it make you sick cons share this same belief as neo-nazis?
============================

HERE ARE SOME NEO-NAZI QUOTES ON THE SO CALLED "LIBERAL/JEWISH MEDIA"

"They all understand, of course, that their Jewish bosses expect a certain slant on the reporting they do. They understand which side their bread is buttered on. They don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. But their liberal bias goes beyond just trying to please the Jewish media bosses who employ them."

Talk shows influence immigration debate

Some top Republicans who support the legislation have defied the broadcast pundits.

Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., told reporters last week, "Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem."

Trent is still a repub isn't he?

I see more and more democrats and republicans avoiding name calling, expressing their protest and support of the war in respectful ways, avoiding rumor-mongering while asking pointed questions, and treating our politicians as "innocent until proved guilty" instead of the other way around.
I see people who insult and make up things getting lots of thumbs down, and lots of responses telling them what people dislike about their approach.
I see people putting their country first, and their ideology second, regardless of their side, and not treating the other half of the country as the enemy as much as fellow Americans whom we disagree with on how best to help America.

"Hating America" doesn't seem to be "cool" anymore. I wished for this. I seem to be seeing it. Am I mistaken?
