And Rush Limbaugh etc. They are scared of anything that sounds logical.

Fox News attacks liberals. How do I know, because I watch it. Bill O'Reilly refers to the left as loons. That's why I watch both Fox News and MSNBC, to get both sides of the story.

Wow, you think Rush Limbaugh sounds logical? The drug addict who says that all drug addicts should be locked up? The guy who made of Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's Disease?

The media doesn't have a liberal bias. CNN is does not lean to the far-left and neither does MSNBC. MSNBC is extremely fair and balanced when it comes to debate and commentary. They have two commentators that lean left(Matthews and Olbermann), and two that lean right (Carlson and Scarborough). Can't get much more balanced than that and you certainly can't say the same thing about Fox News. CNN has Glenn Beck who is a solid conservative, and Lou Dobbs is more vocal about his opposition to illegal immigration than O'Reilly. CNN is, unlike the other two major network, nearly devoid of political commentary. (You've got Paula Zahn, and that's about it.) They pretty much just do the news and interviews.

It's true that there are elements in the media that are very leftist like the New York Times and Air America. But so what? Nearly all of talk radio is conservative. There is a clear right-wing bias at Fox News and you cannot possibly deny it without deviating from reality. There are many political news-magazines and newspapers that lean to the right in their editorials. You people on the right have more than enough options for commentary; likewise, those on the left have more than enough as well.

Logical and Rush Limbaugh. No that doesn't sound right.

There is no liberal media bias. That is a right wing conspiracy propagated to discredit anything that does not agree with the conservative republican agenda.

Fox News is laughable as is Rush Limbaugh. The viewers of both are the most fanatical insane people I've ever witnessed. They know nothing of facts or logic, they take opinionated "news" as written in stone. It is frightening how off the wall they are. Listen to Rush's open line friday one day. His callers and listeners are flat out insane.

Many liberals criticize the media because they are biased - to the right! There is no "liberal media" and no sensible way to support such a claim despite constant right wing crying and carping about it. The broadcast media are owned and operated by seven or eight right wing corporations, and funded by right wing corporations' advertising. Cable companies are also generally right wing.

Corporate decisions dictate what we see and hear. Reporters dance to the tune set by their editors, and editors serve at the pleasure of their corporate bosses. The corporations making these decisions are right of center to extreme right wing.

When people complain about "liberal media" they are either repeating right wing propaganda or referring to social moderation. The media show tolerance of minorities and women and gays, and they refuse to support a single state religion or impose narrow views of religious morality on viewers, etc. These decisions are based on seeking good ratings and understanding that this is 2007 not the dark ages. Anyone who calls lack of bigotry, sexism, religious fanaticism and homophobia in the media proof the media are "liberal" is saying that bigotry, sexism, and religious fanaticism are conservative.

Some call news that presents both sides and / or that reports facts which ofter expose right wing lies "liberal," but that means facts and accuracy are liberal. I guess slanting the reporting to favor one side, telling lies, etc. are all conservative traits? That would make FAUX "News" (and too many other media outlets) conservative.

The corporate media are not liberal in ideology at all for all the reasons above. Besides supporting right wing candidates, the media also support completely unfounded right wing political positions like the absurd notion that supply side economics works. The media also strongly opposes unions, national health care, fair (as opposed to "free") trade, etc. All this is because media millionaires like their big tax cuts and don't care about outsourcing jobs. Also, they can afford the best health care, so they don't care about the 50 million who can't.

If anyone has any doubts about the media, think about this. The media featured nonstop support for the impeachment of Bill Clinton for personal indiscretions and trying to hide that embarrassment. The media says almost nothing about impeachment of Bush and Cheney for a massive campaign of war crimes, violations of the US Constitution, voter fraud, working with the oil companies in secret meetings, and many other crimes. The media are NOT liberal. If they were, they'd be doing impeach Bush and Cheney stories as much as they did the Monica BS. Case closed.

There's a difference between being bias and being so far up Bush's butt that he could set off a nuke and Fox would say the nuke was asking for it. I can see Sean Hannity now," It was probably sitting there all smug and superior, besides, liberals don't want you to know that Clinton wanted to set it off every day he was in office. Yeah, he would walk around with no pants on, pretend he was polishing the button. Well I tell you, Bush might have polished a few knobs, but he left that button alone!".

Yes, Fox News and Rush are bastions of logic. Give me a break.

I don't praise any of the mainstream media, it hasn't covered the Downing Street Memo or the Abramoff-Octagon1 email, so they are just Bush Administration mouthpieces all in my opinion.

The Daily Show, the Colbert Report, and Countdown are the only reliable programs out there, and the first two are satire. And that says a LOT about the media right there.

Step away from the question. Stop. Think. Why would liberals attack "the media" if they had NO bias. That is the ideal in journalism, you know? No bias whatsoever.
Foxbaugh has a right wing bias. Of course left wingers will attack a right wing bias.

Neither fox nor rush have suffered any because of it.

They still have you, now don't they?

Could you please provide a link to prove your claim?

Thank you & God bless.

6 conglomerates own 90%of all media in America, period.

You need to do a lot of fact checking, you have been sold a pack of lies, which by the way explains your die hard support for Bush.

Thank god we have the Internet so we can escape the corporate sponsored news. This right wing/left wing accusations about news are meaningless to the owners of these media giants who simply put out what they want their target audience to digest.
