About 13-14 conservatives posting above and there aren't 100 IQ points between em
Corporations have been waging war against free speech in the United States since 1980
4 corporations own more than 80% of the media outlets...that is why it's the same right wing propaganda message, nation wide.
Corporations buying all of the media outlets and only allowing their point of view into the mainstream is not free speech, it is a direct denial of free speech by using corporate dollars and corporate power to stifle all other points of view.
You Republicans sound like a bunch of uneducated idiots....and that's because you are a bunch of uneducated, hatemongering idiots.
I'm ashamed that Americans can be so proud to be so stupid

If it weren't for talk radio and the media a large, we wouldn't know anything about what our government is doing. They are so secretive about their actions, their votes and positions. We must have these mediums to inform us of what Lou Doubbs and Anderson Cooper of CNN call, "Keeping them honest".
It is surely possible the anchors and radio show hosts are biased; I know I am to a point, but they must be allowed to speak and it is for us to discern and investigate to find out what is really going on. They spark our interests and give us a forum to talk back and ask questions. This also allows our voices to be heard by our elected officials (even though they might not listen).

They're talking on the radio about what some politician heard on an elevator between Hillery and some other congress woman. If they would check their facts they would find out the guy recanted his statement and said he might have heard it three years ago.

I agree, free speech comes first. Good of you to speak up in support. The Senator Trent Lott is wrong about this issue.

First, do not confuse all Republicans with being conservative or all conservatives being Republican. Senator Lott is definitely NOT conservative and therefore is threatened by the effectiveness of conservative radio shows. I do not care how "top" or "high" the Republican is, many are more liberal than Democrats and therefore need to be removed.

Trent calls himself a republican but he is ticked off at the republican party for asking him to step down from his position years ago.

Personally, I think that it is only fair to say he speaks for the people of Mississippi. If I was one of them, I'd be ticked.
It is Liberals who believe Republicans march in "lock-step." We have never made that claim.

once again you are confusing a republican with a conservative. not the same, I repeat one more time for the feeble minded democrat/liberals. Republican does NOT equal conservative. Lott is not one of our own if he is to support the restriction of freedom of speech.

This "liberals trying to silence conservatives" is so much crap. It's just another Big Lie diversion tossed in by the GOP to take people's attention away from the worst president in history, GWB.
They know it's a lie but because the Rush campaign is in full gear, they parrot what Mullah Limbaugh says. Stupid cows.

Easy, a lot of the talk that started all this hype was talk from liberals complaining that liberal shows didn't get as much air. Just because Lott piled on doesn't mean anything.....he's wrong too.
