The year - 2025. Radical groups have attacked the U.S. and other countries in great force and have nearly defeated us all. You are president. Once push of the button sets off nuclear destruction all over the world, potentially killing off 95% of human life as we know it. Do you do it ...or surrender?

When Rush Limbaugh has more listeners than NPR, or Tom Clancy sells more books than Noam Chomsky, or Motor Trend gets more subscribers than Mother Jones, liberals want to convince us (or themselves, perhaps) that it’s all because of some catastrophic market failure or a grand corporate conspiracy to dumb down the masses.

In reality, it’s just the result of consumer choice.

All the opinions that the Left’s media critics favor are now readily available to us via multiple platforms.

But that’s not good enough, it seems: they won’t rest until all of us are watching, reading, and listening to the content that they prefer.

and ran her car off the road into a ditch. Her friend got mad or scared and demanded she let her (the friend) drive. As her friend was backing up, the police pulled up. Her friend got a DUI (she's 21). My niece insists she kept telling the police that she was the one that drove the car into the ditch but they didn't believe her. They didn't do anything to her- not even cite her for underage drinking. Now her friend is livid because she has a DUI and my niece got off with nothing. My niece is really upset that her friend is getting in trouble for what she really did. She spoke to a friend whose lawyer told her there was nothing she could do and to be grateful she didn't get cited for underage drinking and DUI and reckless operation. Her friend wants her to do something to get them to take the DUI off. Is there anything she can do? Is there anything her friend can do to get the charge changed to my niece?

Bush vows permanent ban on future illegal migrants
President George W. Bush promised Saturday to permanently bar future illegal immigrants from the United States as he renewed his push for immigration reform, a centerpiece of his domestic agenda.
"Under this bill, those caught crossing illegally will be permanently barred from returning to the United States on a work or tourist visa," the president stated.

He went on to assure Americans the new bill puts border enforcement first.

How does Bush think he will accomplish that when they cannot be stopped now?

In my own opinion I believe that the legal age for many things is wrong.

Such as, someone who is 16 is able to have sex, but that person is not able to watch pornographic movies until they are 18. That means they are able to risk STDs and becoming pregnant at the age of just 16, but they are unable to pleasure themselves using visual aid.

It's not just sex. You are able to drive when you reach the age of 15 (in New Zealand) but you are unable to vote in a general election until you're 18. So, you can go out drive a car, put others and yourself at risk, but you can't have 1 say in how the country is run.

Also, at the age of 16, you are able to buy a knife or a gun, but you can't buy alcohol until you are 18 (in New Zealand and 21 in the USA). So you are allowed to have a lethal weapon but you aren't allowed to go out and have a good night with your friends drinking alcohol?

Please explain...

I was hoping maybe a lawyer might be able to help. My bf and I rented for an apartment in a 100 year old house for a year. We moved out on May 28th and just got our security deposit back. But instead of the 810$ we had put down, they with held 500$ to get estimates on a new tile floor (which they said was discolored). It was not, but stupid us, we didn't take pictures (we learned the hard way). To add to all of this, they were out of town when the apt switched over to the new tenant and we had to do our moving out inspection with the new tenant (he said everything looked fine). In the letter we just received, apparently the landlords did a walk through on the 19th of this month (27 days after we moved out and the new guy was living in the apt. the whole time!)There are now lists of charges like a crack in a step and a plaster crack in the wall. Are we liable and do they have the right to keep this money if they waited to do the inspection until after someone else was living there?

BAGHDAD - Roadside bombers killed seven U.S. troops Saturday, five of them in a single blast near Baghdad, and an eighth soldier died of a non-combat cause — raising to 25 the number of American soldiers killed this week.

Explosions aimed at U.S. patrols that kill several troops at once are common, but the recent frequency of such large-scale attacks may signal militants are using larger bombs or explosively formed penetrators, known as EFPs, as they fight back against a series of U.S. military operations. And this is a war that President Bush and the war supporters said would last about 7 or 8 months. ( Said by Rumsfelt in Feb 2003.." I do not envision this war lasting over 7 or 8 months")
