I'd vote to end the pledge of allegiance. Does standing up and swearing allegiance to the central government sound like something free people should be doing?

Yes, I would vote to remove "under God" from the government endorsed, official version. If someone still chooses to say "under God" that's their prerogative.
Thanks for pointing out that that phrase was not in the original wording and was only put in during the McCarthy years when he tried to make everyone look like a Commie.

I'm a God loving person who thinks the emphasis of the Pledge needs to be on the part about "With Liberty and Justice for All", but yes, I think it should be returned to the original wording.

"Under God" was added in the 50's when the conservatives were destroying so called communists Americans (so much for freedom). I have no problem with it being in, but the reality is that "God" means different things to different Americans. It really shouldn't matter.

I would be highly irritated at the expense involved in such a trivial pursuit.
And I'd vote to leave it as it is. If it offends you that this nation sees itself as a Christian nation, you might want to take a look at the history of Western civilization.

Yes. I vote to remove "under God" from the pledge of allegiance. Because America isn't under God, we are a secular country.

As long as under God is the same God that sent his son Jesus to die for our sins so that we may live a life in His presence, then yes.
If you mean a god that represents any other god, then it should be one nation and justice for all.

No. I would leave it as the original. My children will learn it the right way.

No.
One of the founding fathers remarked that our gov't was (translated) "Only fit for a godly people and unfit for any other."
He knew what he was taliking about. Not a joke - google it.
