no smoking,not being able to express ones ideas,telling us no trans fats,soliders getting little health benifits, the food police, why do we put up with this stuff

You have a confused jumble of complaints.
1. Smoking is legal. But you can't smoke wherever you want to. the non-smoking 78% of the population has rights,also. Driving is legal, too, but should you be able to do it on the sidewalk?
2. "Not being able to express....?"
What are you talking about?
2. There are still PLENTY if trans-fat filled foods out there. Help yourself.
3. Maybe soldiers need better benefits. I'm not sure.
4. Food Police? You mean the people who insist on accurate labeling and informing you of the crap you're eating? So what? You should eat what you want.
