It doesn't surprise me that the question would come up. There are more and more people out there who think that homosexuality is a perfectly respectful life style which should not only be tolerated but advocated. When warned about the sliippery slope that this acceptance might lead to, gays and thier proponents say that is nonsense.
Folks, it's already starting to happen.

Oh that is just so wrong!!! Not only does the gene pool sink into oblivion, but it teaches things that should not be taught. The cycle could never be broken!!! In addition, for those who are violent, it would give them a license to all but kill!!! In short, EEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!! Hope this helps!!!

OK--seriously. If the DNA is too similar you produce seriously impaired offspring. That's why marrying first cousins is not consistently legal.
Beyond that, it's just plain nasty. Some things defy logical explanation. This would be one of those things.

historically incest was more common that not. fortunately we have evolved and there are enough people in the world that no one should have to sleep with their second cousin sally. soooooooooo, incest is illegal, mainly because it causes birth defects and promotes child abuse and the relationships built have proven to be highly psychologically damaging.
