I was 13 when my father died, and my parents were divorced. He lived in D.C. He passed away from full blown AIDS. I did have a relationship with him, however, it was mostly letterls, and occasional phone calls. I was told by my mother (whom hated him dearly) that I was left nothing and his F*G*T boyfriend got it all. Yeah, nice to tell a 13yr old. Anyways, I never questioned it until now. How can I review it and or protest it if that is so?

I know that women vote based on looks. Not a generalization...I never said all women. But that is a true sentence. Just as an example, look at what a pathetically trivial thing a vote can be based on. Others include voting how your parents vote, or how much you hate "towel heads", or how your church wants you to vote (I attest, I watched an entire church full of Mormons be told who to vote for in a presidential election), and the ridiculous list goes on. So, yes, it is fair to each individual to GET a single vote, but is it even responsible to continue that practice? Are we being fair to eachother to enforce the will of the irresponsible majority? People are generally not even informed about the issues a president makes decisions on. And unless there is a pre-screening to make sure the candidates are all CAPABLE of the job, I think we may be letting Toonces drive the whole country...

My vote goe to Ralph Nader, for ensuring that George W, Bush would win the White House, thereby casting the US into the dark ages and causing tremendous loss of human life worldwide. Thanks, Ralph. Hope you can live with yourself.

The survey, released Thursday, reflects widespread discontent over how Bush is handling the war in Iraq, efforts against terrorism and domestic issues. It also underscores challenges Republican presidential and congressional candidates will confront next year when they face voters who seem to be clamoring for change.

Only 32 percent said they were satisfied with how Bush is handling his job overall, the same low point AP-Ipsos polling measured last January and a drop of 3 percentage points since May

apWASHINGTON - The general picked by President Bush to be his war adviser said Thursday he has serious concerns about the Iraqi government's ability to take control of its country, no matter how much pressure is applied by the United States.

The W in Bush is upside down purposely as an analogy to how upside down his decision making abilities are

Do you think that the inner city folks will snatch up those produce picking jobs once the illegals are gone? The migrant workers here in MI didn;t show up in previous numbers, and spring crops were tilled under...driving up the cost of produce. Don't think there are that many illegals picking produce? Think again...

I have taken up reading books about bomber command to come to terms with the reasoning behind it. I started this after working in Coventry and seeing the cathedral remains and the peace tributes ect.
My feelings are now that:
Bomber Harris did the maths on Coventry and took it to the Germans multiplied by several times Note: it took 200,000 men 3 months to get Coventry working again, so in Germany it would mean less war power and more repair power.
Von Krupp the industrialist behind the Nazis was asked what his production efficiency was when tried in Nuremberg he could only operate at 50% so less tanks less bombs less of everything was caused by the industrial impact of Bomber Command.
Finally the men who flew, The experiences of both Allied and American airmen, who without fighter support in the early days, braved the skies day and night. Often for 8 -10 hours over enemy territory. Returning with 2 engines half a wing and prayer. Truely these heroes should be honourd better

I was talking with someone the other day and I was wearing my favorite band t-shirt. It's from Anti Flag, and it says "War Sucks Lets Party". They said that they though it was "offensive right now." So, my thought was "so, war is okay when we're fighting one, but it's awful and subhuman when one is not going on?"

Say a few words.

Ok, most of the people here are for immigration as long as it is "legall" . Let me teach you a little from that side of the coin which I am sure most havn't done research on:

-I am from Mexico City, I have lived here in the US on legal status for 8+ yrs. So I know what I am talking about

-first of, everyone complains that ilegalls don't pay taxes, let me tell you that everytime they buy an american product, they pay taxes, as for Medicare and Social Security, I, as a legal immigrant, don't have to pay them because I get no ebenfits at all, ilegall immigrants don't get them either for the fact that they are not registered, but still have to pay Federal and Fica. Oh, and for school taxes, my parents own two homes here and pay the taxes any American citezen does, the difference is that I get charged as an out of state student. So, we get screwed up by your laws.

Does keeping illegals illegal help our economy? I think of it this way...I am pretty sure some work for me, although I have done everything i can to document the worker, proof, checked against known fraudulent IDs, etc...I am also pretty sure they operate on some appearance of legality. So, they pay their taxes, yet cannot draw on social programs, or recieve health insurance (HUGE costs) They can use the emergency room, but not that many people have a need for emergency care...not as many as pay. If we make them legal, they can now draw on social programs, etc...so doesn't it make sense to keep them here, and illegal? We get the cheap labor, collect taxes, and dont pay back out to them. And please, this is for those who are fiscally conservative, this is not a debate on the morality of law.
