I usually don't go around yelling about who we should go to war with, as I really don't understand how it all works, but why aren't we going in and giving that monster Mugabe a bloody nose?

He is destroying his own people. Let's do some good and earn merit on the world stage and kick him in the goolies!

That's exactly what Mugabe wants. Such an action would be proof positive that the UK [former Imperial power] wants to take back it's former colony.

It is the argument that has always been used by Mugabe to explain his excesses to a gullible people.

Doing a war in Zimbabwe is not going to happen.

Zimbabwe has nothing worth fighting for. No resources that are not available elsewhere at a cheaper rate. When the world runs out of copper, we'll just take Zimbabwe back, rip out the copper and call the country Rhodesia and put Ian Smith or his descendants back on the throne as head of a client state.

Most wars are based upon the issue of economics. Zimbabwe is not an economical country and therefore serves no purpose to the West.

Therefore the West neither have no purpose in challenging Mugabe for the alledged Breach of Human Rights.

Are they a threat to us? Or is it all internal? I will admit that I am not up on much that is going on in Zimbabwe, but from your post it sounds like it is the Zimbabwe people who are in danger, not the world at large.

If they are not a direct threat then we will not and should not go to war. Instead we will pursue diplomatic and economic sanctions and will most likely take it to the UN. This is much the same actions we took against South Africa in regards to aparthied.

Yea, call the UN, let them do what they're supposed to do. Saddam was just as evil as Mugabe, and we got stabbed in the back by everyone for it. Time for the rest of the world to pitch in.

Because George Bush doesn't have a problem with Mugabe, and without his permission Tony Blair can't even tie his laces.

They have no natural resource that the West (UK & USA) can sypher and use to line our pockets.
Had this been the case, no doubt eithier of these countries would have interveined at some stage

Mind you Sierra Leone is different, they have Diamonds hence we helped there!
