you can reasonably assume one of two things. in looking at the history of this war, those generals as well as several other military and government officials who have not aliened themselves with the agenda of this administration, have been fired, replaced, and stripped of their dignity for speaking their minds honestly on this war. one can easily draw the conclusion that their is a considerable amount of intimidation available to and for those who speak their minds, ("whistle blowers") as can be seen here on yahoo by the way some in the military treat their own for speaking up and pointing out issues of enormous concern for so many Americans. so there is that kind of intimidation to consider. reason two, he is absolutely correct, nothing we do will make a difference, which brings us right back to why in the hell are we there??
