George Bush is about to stubbornly deny the will of the American people once again.

This week, the House will pass a bill to lift the arbitrary and damaging restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research that President Bush put in place in 2001. Two months ago, the Senate passed a similar bill.

But George Bush is threatening a veto in defiance of almost every congressional Democrat, many Republicans and the overwhelming majority of the American people.

It's not science or facts driving Bush's decision. It is pure pandering to his radical right-wing base. The upshot is that millions who suffer from Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and diabetes will once again have their hopes dashed.

For the spin doctor's i am American & vote but know how worthless it is! The legal citizen majority need ultimate rule & control on a consensus basis. Under a True Direct consensus Democracy. Legally of/by/for the people. End the reign of the wealthy few! Yes it can be done & the wealthy few ain't stealing everything for themselves.

From what I have read and heard is that Bin Laden hated us for having troops in Saudi Arabia, not because they hated our culture. He has said they are intent on an islamic World from Spain to the Middle east, were we are not involved. If we just get the hell out of Iraq and the middle east in general (including support for Israel) it seems it will make us a much safer country. We should buy our oil and be done with that hellish place, it is not our problem if they want to kill eachother.

his intentions to commit suicide or
causing injury to himself or
spoiling his own life,.......
with intent to cause ALARM,
TO CAUSE ANOTHER TO DO ANY ACT WHICH HE DON'T WANT TO DO...
Is such act punishable under section 503 of criminal intimidation or

Im sorry people but the man makes me ill he is disgusting..everything i read about him involves underage girls..he seems to like assualting children in some form or another and yet people still defend him and buy his records..as far as i am concerned he is a vile untalented perverse bully that should be jailed..I would say deported but Mr Konvict as he likes to call himself for stealing a car would just do worse to other kids.

Home values are down and the crime rate is up. It seems like I can't drive home from work without seeing a beat up Ford with the illegals last name on the back window, flying a mexican flag and playing loud tejano music. What have these people done to assimilate?

Do any of them acknowledge the complete lack of impact on drugs the "war" is having, other than to turn people who would otherwise not be, into criminals?

I'm not saying drugs are good... they're not good for you or society. But we tried prohibition with alcohol & that fell into a mess of gangs with guns, bootleggers & dirty cops.
How is the current drug war any different?

Isn't addiction recognized as a disease.
Why is it treated as a crime?

I mean we just booted them off their own land and kicked them onto crummy resevations. They were here first...and even though the government did pay them back in some way... I think they deserve more for what we did to them. I think we should give them the entire state of Wyoming because it is barely populated.

As long as they pay their taxes.... let them in that's my view.

Now that it has been found out that the Duke Lacrosse players were innocent and the woman manufactured the entire story, should the 3 wrongly prosecuted players sue the overzealous Durham DA Nifong?

The students themselves said they never knew this kind of injustice and railroading existed until it happened to them. They are rich, connected white kids. Imagine if they were not, and imagine how many others don't have the same resources they do if this were to happen to them? It does happen to others.

I feel that these students, now with the knowledge that this sort of injustice happens, have a duty to pursue a case against both the woman accusing them, and more importantly against the DA that wrongly prosecuted them. If they do not do this, they are basically letting the injustice pass, and well as any similar injustice in the future. Once exposed, this sort of thing needs to be remedied and a lawsuit would be a big first step.

AMERICA is vast continent(group of nations or countries).Others are:Europe, Asia,Africa and Oceania.Esentially, any person born in America is an American(like european, asian african, etc). The American continent has 4 regions to know: North America(México included;the real country's name is Estados Unidos Mexicanos),Central America,The Antilles(Greater Antilles and Lesser Antilles) and South America. Thus, any person born in any of these countries is an AMERICAN and after is natural born of a specific country(mexican, peruvian, colombian, etc). The USA is the only country who has no "natural or original name"(it's unification of states) like the others;for that reason you took the shorthand name of americans for your citizens Right?

In conclusion,an American is from AMERICA(not only a US citizen!!).You have to know that.

Do you agree?

I mean, we cannot stay there forever, b/c we cannot win this war. It's just costing too much money and too many American lives, and too many tears. A senator said in support of the war a few days ago, "When three thousand american troops have died, when are you going to stand up to them?". Good arguement. However, they are not dying for a good purpose. They are not doing anything good for the U.S., there just doing good things for Bush and Cheney. There not helping us at all, there just actually helping spread al-Qaida to a country it's never operated in before, and further inflaming the mess. Bush is causing American deaths each day, only because of what he wants done in Iraq.

I recently read an article about some place they wanted to make it madatory that providers approve and pay for sexual reassignment surgery, and I am sure all the the "prep" and all else that goes with it.

With the Universal Health Insurance idea, woudl these types of procedures be allowed?

What other things woudl be next? Would we start paying for abortions, voluntary amputations, pectoral implants, hair transplants? what, what else?

Build a military grade fence, sea to shining sea, 2 legal crossing points in each border state, manned and patoled 24/7/365.

Give all illegals ,90 days to register themselves and their families for a temporary green card.

Pick and chose who we want to stay.
Unregistered illegals, felons, the unemployable ect. get a 1 way bus ride to the border

Anyone found cutting their way thru the fence dies ,right there.
