It's known that attempt to commit suicide is punishable under section 309 of Indian Penal Code but what about intimidation of commiting suicide?
IF someone ONLY THREATENS another one with....
his intentions to commit suicide or
causing injury to himself or
spoiling his own life,.......
with intent to cause ALARM,
TO CAUSE ANOTHER TO DO ANY ACT WHICH HE DON'T WANT TO DO...
Is such act punishable under section 503 of criminal intimidation or
under section 309 of attempt of suicide?
Are there some provisions in law enforcement system to stop such act in India?

It seems either few of you asking such questions here in this category are Law students who want to cover your course by asking questions here & getting the solutions for your problem or you guys are just testing the intelligence of lawyers who answer your questions. Any how you seems to have not read section 503 of the Indian Penal Code properly, so first read it properly & fully as provide :- Criminal intimidation.--Whoever threatens another with any
Injury to his person, reputation or property, or to the person or
Reputation of any one in whom that person is interested, with intent
To cause alarm to that person, or to cause that person to do any act
Which he is not legally bound to do, or to omit to do any act which
That person is legally entitled to do, as the means of avoiding the
Execution of such threat, commits criminal intimidation.

Explanation.-A threat to injure the reputation of any deceased
Person in whom the person threatened is interested, is within this
Section.

Illustration

A, for the purpose of inducing B to resist from prosecuting a
Civil suit, threatens to burn B’s house. A is guilty of criminal
Intimidation.
Hope after reading this section you will understand the person who commits such an act of intimidation treats either the other person physically or his reputation or his property secondly he treats any person in the same manner to whom this person is interested in. In the above problem this man threatens another person to cause death to himself or injure himself or spoil his own life, how this threat covered under this definition of criminal intimidation? How the other person interested in the life of the person giving such a threat unless he is related to him or he has actual interest in him. Since this fact you have not clarified here such a threat will not be covered under this definition of criminal intimidation. More over the person who commits the offence of criminal intimidation is charged under section 506 not under section 503 as this section only defines the term criminal intimidation where as section 506 IPC provides punishment for this offence. You should read the Indian Penal Code & Criminal Procedure Code properly before drafting any problem to be solved here.
