I mean, we cannot stay there forever, b/c we cannot win this war. It's just costing too much money and too many American lives, and too many tears. A senator said in support of the war a few days ago, "When three thousand american troops have died, when are you going to stand up to them?". Good arguement. However, they are not dying for a good purpose. They are not doing anything good for the U.S., there just doing good things for Bush and Cheney. There not helping us at all, there just actually helping spread al-Qaida to a country it's never operated in before, and further inflaming the mess. Bush is causing American deaths each day, only because of what he wants done in Iraq.

I cannot second you enough on everything you have said. The only reason we are there is simply to gain control of the Iraqi oil fields. The war which we started can only end via a diplomatic solution and since we are not willing to do that, we will probably never get out. But to answer your question, yes, we should have a pullout of our forces as soon as possible.

Yes we need to get out...the longer we stay the less stable the region becomes. The region is much more unstable then when we went in...our soldiers are targets, and all this from a guy who's dad got him into the national guard when it was his turn to serve and Cheney who got 6 deferments...They botched this thing going into it on the cheap and Bush doesn't want to leave because he doesn't want the loss on his record so he refuses to talk about leaving...what a sorry excuse for a leader.

that is your opinion and you are free to have that. But this is not just about Bush and Cheney. I really wish you people would learn the truth of why we are there and what we are doing. We have a gradual pullout plan in place already and have had one since the beginning. that has always been the plan.
