I mean we just booted them off their own land and kicked them onto crummy resevations. They were here first...and even though the government did pay them back in some way... I think they deserve more for what we did to them. I think we should give them the entire state of Wyoming because it is barely populated.

Well Jeff loves life...I never said they had to move there. I am just saying that we should give them back some land that was once theirs.

And I feel guilty because maybe it was not us but Americans were the ones who took their land and killed countless Native Americans.

It's a nice idea, but more than just kicking them off their land we killed 95% of them and destroyed their culture and way of life. How do you fix that?

I think we should give them their sovereignty and release those like Leonard Peltier, who is in jail for political reasons.

But before we do anything, maybe we should apologize and ask them how we can make amends.

i understand your point but this is so far in the past... and there are benefits for the few reaming native Americans. However if you look at it more from what really happened, it is was a war, for the land by the Spaniards, Europeans and other immigrants. They were simply fighting the "native" population for land. this is how it has work since the beginning of humans. it is only a new concept top repay the losers (no pun intended). they lost the war... I know this sounds mean and unfair –sorry, This is why we have shifter are way of thinking about war... any way in an ideal world, we would all get along and there would be no fighting of land, oil, or power etc… Giving them a state would further isolate them. There is an interesting movie/documentary about a group of Native Americans taking over Alcatraz you may want to view it I find it very insightful to what happens if you try to give back…

No we've not; purely some tribes have casinos, and intensely few of them actually supply out percapita. We pay a similar taxes, Federal, sales, and earnings. according to capita, extra individuals serve interior the armed forces than the different ethnic team. working example, i'm a Navajo, we don't get any unfastened exams in any respect, neither do the Hopi our associates, or the White Mountain Apache. We do all of it on our very own, been like that for some years. The Federals did not supply us faculties, so we equipped our very own, they did not supply us hospitals, so as quickly as back we made our very own. purely how issues are buddy, seem at those style of ignorant comments; they don't supply a rattling approximately us.

Well, this is a tough question. We cannot adequately repay what our ancestors did generations before us. No amount of casio revenue or even Wyoming will be sufficient for the lost of human life and the near destruction of their civilization. The only thing we can do is move forward and study the history of what happened and try not to repeat it.

The Lakota Souix was offered 23 million dollars in reperations. Not a penny has been collected. This nation has lied to the Indians so often I doubt they would believe it if a Wells Fargo truck came up and put 23 million in the street of a reservation.

What makes you think they want to live in Wyoming? Doing what you think is best for Native Americans is no different then what your complaining about.

I don't know about you, but I never did anything to any Native Americans. What have you done to feel so guilty?

You can feel guilty if you want; that's your right. But it's silly to blame the current generation for what their ancestors may or may not have done.

Look at the killing they are making off of tax exempt casino income. I don't think any of them are complaining too much while they rake in the dough from stupid white people trying to strike it rich the easy way.

Record gambling profits is a start.

Maybe we should give them Nevada, no, wait, didn't they already buy Nevada?

Should Spain repay them also, they did a lot more to them than the USA did.

Try reading Michner's "Texas", and "Alaska", interesting...
