Of course you would. I don't think that they would know that quickly who it was so I wouldn't expect an announcement on who at that point.

With all our supposed security at the reduction of freedom that Bush has given us, how does Bush expect anyone to believe him when actually a U.S. city being nuked could be the best thing that has happened since his pesidency? He could declare a national emergency and stay president for as long as he wants with his new setup of government.

I'd believe the media before I'd believe Bush. in part, because" fighting them there to keep them from coming here" is a big old GWB crap sandwich without the bread. But then again, GWB's AlQaeda friends have no reason to attack us again, Bush got the assault he wanted that let him drag us into a war of false pretenses.

I would want more information. There isn't enough in your question to determine either way. You would be jumping to a conclusion before knowing the facts just as the media is.

Unfortunately I would agree that the US government would have some involvment most likelyu indirectly by turning a blind eye as a group carries out the attack. i don't believe they would launch a missile against a city as a direct order through the military cuz that would lead to al lkidns of problems hiding that, but just like wtc first and second attacks as well as oklahoma, government turns blind eye and somtime sprops up groups to cary it out.

Please dont ask questions like this. Its not okay in a post 9/11 era to have hypothetical questions about terrorism. The truth is people are still scared and its not right to taunt them with these kinds of questions.

have great fear my friend...for if your scenario does occur, you will see a panic and crackdown the likes of which the America you and i love, has never experienced. even though the actual damage may be minor (in relative terms), the follow up will make our over-reaction to 9/11 (patriot act, git-mo, Iraq) look subdued.

It depends on what proof they had. As for bush, as much as I hate him, I do not believe even he would do that. Maybe by accident. If they let him aim the missile.
