He's a Democrat and the main purpose of his show is to mock conservative Bill O'Reilly-type "news" programs.

he's most definitely liberal. What I find ironic though, is that he's so smart that he can take these ridiculously right-wing conservative stances that are almost impossible to defend, and make them sound almost credible, especially when he gets some moron up there who doesn't know anything and he poses these questions to them and they stumble all over themselves.
