OK, we started these two systems to help those in need. Welfare was to help those who could not work, and Social Security was to help the elderly.

However, now we have people who are just too lazy to work getting welfare, and people who never contributed getting Social Security.

How can we eliminate the leeches from the system, but still giving help to those who really need it, instead of just want it?

MRC Press Release Concerning Media Boycott of Al Qaeda Torture Manual
“Will Media Report Al Qaeda Torture Manual With Same Zeal as Abu Ghraib?”
Now, a week later, a press release from the Media Research Center answered the question:
To their credit, CNN and Fox News Channel ran stories on the declassified material. Yet nine days since the material was released, neither ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times nor The Washington Post has run a story with the photos of this shocking evidence of al-Qaeda’s barbarism.
MRC President Brent Bozell issued the following statement regarding this matter:

My sister is being harassed by the current girlfriend of an ex. The girlfriend found my sister's number in Mr. Wonderful's phone and has been calling my sister around the clock for the last 3 days, leaving messages and being a general nuisance. My sister is doing her best to ignore the whole thing but I think that she ought to get the authorities involved with anyone who is this crazy that would spend their time this way. (Clearly I'm the "big sister" and I know that she is free to handle this however she sees fit, I just want to be able to give her a good suggestion if she decides to file some sort of complaint).

We live in Ohio. What is the proper channel to follow. Is this a state, local or federal thing (my sister's phone is a cell). She doesn't want to have to change her number over this thing since she's had it for a long time.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Bush Pens Dictatorship Directive, Few Notice

by Kurt Nimmo

Global Research, May 30, 2007
Another Day in the Empire

It is hardly surprising not a single corporate newspaper reported the death of the Constitution. Go to Google News and type in "National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive" and hit enter. Google returns ten paltry results, not one from the New York Times, the Washington Post, or related corporate media source. Google Trends rates the story as "mild," that is to say it warrants nary a blip on the news radar screen. Of course, another death blow to the Constitution, already long on life support, is hardly news. Few understand we now live in a dictatorship, or maybe it should be called a decidership.

"The Bush administration has released a directive called the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive. The directive released on May 9th, 2007 has gone almost unnoticed by the mainstream and alternative media. This is understandable considering the huge Ron Paul and immigration news but this story is equally as huge. In this directive, Bush declares that in the event of a 'Catastrophic Emergency' the President will be entrusted with leading the activities to ensure constitutional government. The language in this directive would in effect make the President a dictator in the case of such an emergency," writes Lee Rogers for Global Research. "The language written in the directive is disturbing because it doesn't say that the President will work with the other branches of government equally to ensure a constitutional government is protected. It says clearly that there will be a cooperative effort among the three branches that will be coordinated by the President. If the President is coordinating these efforts it effectively puts him in charge of every branch. The language in the directive is entirely Orwellian in nature making it seem that it is a cooperative effort between all three branches but than it says that the President is in charge of the cooperative effort."

In short, Bush may now declare himself absolute ruler at any moment and Congress can like it or lump it. Naturally, this act of betrayal is of so little importance and consequence, the corporate media believes you are better served knowing Justin Timberlake is in love.

"This directive on its face is unconstitutional because each branch of government the executive, legislative and judicial are supposed to be equal in power," Lee continues. "By putting the President in charge of coordinating such an effort to ensure constitutional government over all three branches is effectively making the President a dictator allowing him to tell all branches of government what to do."

About 60,000 US troops COMBAT troops (most US troops in Iraq are support troops) or 3 million Iraqi Shiites, Kurds, & many Sunnis troops/millitia men who hate Al Qaeda just as much as the US?

Who better to kill a middle eastern Muslim than another middle eastern Muslim? Unlike US troops they actually know what Al Qaeda looks like even when they aren't shooting at them.

Most Americans are for immigration, but uncontrolled immigration is not the way to go. There's 20 million illegals living here and let's get real -- 80% of them are from Mexico. Controlled immigration is the only way to go becuase we're already seeing diseases that were eradicated her making a comeback because of the mass immigration from Mexico.

I want to see mor people from: Cambodia, Ghana, Latvia, Colombia, Haiti, Darfur, Serbia, Croatia, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Eastern Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia.

People from those countries would work their butts off to succeed and would be grateful to be in the United States, and we'd have true diversity, not just all Mexicans. Having 1000 people a day coming in from Mexico is plain unfair to the rest of the world that wants to come here.

DEMOCRAT
You have two cows.
Your neighbor has none.
You feel guilty for being successful

REPUBLICAN
You have two cows.
Your neighbor has none.
So?

SOCIALIST
You have two cows.
The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.
You form a cooperative to tell him how to manage his cow.

COMMUNIST
You have two cows.
The government seizes both and provides you with milk.
You wait in line for hours to get it.
It is expensive and sour.

CAPITALISM, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows.
You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows.

BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows.
Under the new farm program the government pays you to shoot one, milk the other, and then pours the milk down the drain.

Let's face it, we don't need any more immigrants coming to our major cities. There's already traffic and crime problems plus over-burdened education and healthcare systems. Why do we need an immigrant opening another liquor store in Baltimore and putting Americans out of work?

Why can't we give immigrants a list of rural towns they can immigrate to? Rural America is on the decline and needs more shopkeepers, doctors and agricultural workers. They can spend five years there, learn the language and then become a citizen and move anywhere they want to.

I recall seeing a 9/11 program where it showed that the NYPD and the FDNY couldn't get along just before the the first tower was about to collapse. My friend who used to be in the USMC also said that officers in the army feel awkward when they have to collaborate with the Navy and other military contingents. Is this true, or is the friction that they show just an old-fashioned rivalry?

I appreciate their help during the civil rights movement over 40 years ago, but what are they doing for us today?

Why do we still owe them our allegiance? It seems that the Democratic party has been hijacked by a bunch of extreme leftists who see us as helpless beings who need them.

This isn't a confrontational question, but this is Y!A, so I know a couple of answers (99.99% from liberals) will chide me for being 'ungrateful', a 'sell-out', and whatever else.

I say that blacks should look beyond the Democratic party and see what else is out there. Surely, in America today, no one should be pigeon-holed into ONE political party, right?

I think all Americans can agree that having a huge budget deficit is not a good thing.

All good Americans agree that our taxes are high enough.

The difference of opinions seem to center on how to reduce the budget.

Lieberals want to confiscate more money from wage earners.

Good Americans want to reduce spending.

This immigration ( amnesty ) bill, many of us feel its to liberal, but the illegal aliens feel its to hard line. It has a 24hr backround check, but it sounds like the illegal aliens want 1hr. The bill has their stupid guest worker program, but it sounds like the illegal aliens want an endless number. Section 413 gives even more aid to Mexico, saying that this will help us in the long run, but illegal aliens want even more aid. The bill wants to end chain immigration, but it sounds like the illegal aliens want as many to come in as they want. The bill has a $5,00.00 fine, and some can even get this waved with a hardship clause, but it sounds like the illegal aliens want no fine at all. So I guess I"ve got to ask, illegal aliens, what do you really want ?
