How many Al Queda terrorists matriculate from Iraqi prisons every month now?
Exiled sheik Zaidan al-Jabri from Anbar province states that the Iraqi prisons are training grounds for Al Queda terrorists. No doubt. I know if I were hauled off the streets and tortured without cause, as continues today, I'd be so angry I'd feel like signing up for a suicide mission.
Funny thing how there was no Al Queda presence in Iraq prior to our invasion. The only known international terrorist in Iraq was the palestinian Abu Nidal, and Saddam Hussein executed him prior to our invasion. Now, because of our efforts, we have created thousands of terrorists, and are providing them with ample training and material to stimulate recruitment (kidnapping, torture, etc.).
There will be blowback for decades to come from this incompetently mismanaged and unprovoked war, which so far has replaced a secular state with a fundamentalist theocratic government even more outrageous than our own.
Dowahdiddy asserts Usama bin Laden got us into this mess. Well, Usama got us into Afghanistan (where we allowed him to ellude capture). GWB got us into Iraq. No way in hell can we tie Usama to Saddam--and believe me--this administration continues to try to tie that knot.
See, Usama offered his support to the Saudi royal family against the secular government of Saddam before the FIRST gulf war, because he did not want american boots on persian soil. The arabs turned him down because we had better weapons, and could create an international coalition to repel Saddam's ill conceived invasion.
We know GWB began planning this invasion in January of 2001, long before the 9/11 attack. Usama was simply a convenient excuse to execute prelaid plans. My guess is that GWB figured if Saddam could invade some foreign country without reasonable cause, he could too.
Fast Eddie couldn't find a job when Bill was president, but since the economy tanked and millions of manufacturing jobs were shipped overseas to be replaced with lower wage service jobs, Bush found Eddie a wife and whopping mortgage. Hopefully he didn't sign up for an ARM, or he'll also find out what foreclosure is all about when the economic corrections for Bush's massive deficits occur.

What has Bush gotten us into?
Don't you mean what has Bin Laden gotten us into? Binnie Boy started all of this. I can't blame Bush for it. He was just lashing out in kind as most would do. Personally I wouldn't have been as nice and patient as he was.
Now for this new stuff like the global warming and the immigration of illegals, I'd tell him to his face he's an idiot. I know he has a high IQ but that has nothing to do with mistakes in these are some pretty big mistakes.

We were already in, we were just too blind to see it.
My family escaped Islam in the 1950s. We've been expecting this war for decades. Islam wants and has wanted to dominate the world for centuries, and was actually doing a pretty good job of it before Osama got kicked out of Saudi Arabia for wanting to speed things up, and then President Bush acted on what they knew.
I'm still stunned that people have not been paying attention to the rapid growth of a religion (Islam) that sided with Germany in the last WW, and has condemned and suppressed every culture and religion under their banner.
He didn't get us into anything. He confronted those who had nearly surrounded us before they were ready.
I want Islam to survive, embrace freedom, and topple their dictators, but I am American, first, and will not sacrifice this country for any ideology others might put before it (socialism, etc.)

I think our country is in a downward slide. Immigration issues and wars have the rest of the world distrusting Americans in general. Gas prices are projected to continue to rise. I fear a depression in the near future. President Bush? Well, have you ever heard the expression "Having your *** in a sling"?

Let's take a look. 1) tax cuts for Alll working Americans, saved economy, increased wealth for al working Americans. Big plus. 2) War on terror, sending troops to Iraq gives the US the ability to kill radical Muslims on their home turf rather than say in NY city, big plus. 3) environmental policy, rejected Kyoto which would have done nothing to improve the environment while making America less competitive and more poor, Call this one a flash of brilliance. 4) judicial appointments. It doesn't get any better than his SC appointments. 5) 00 and 04' elections, Bush saved us from having an idiot and a traitor in the White House, hip hip hooray. 6) race relations in America, appointed more minorities to positions of power than any other president in US history, Makes you fell good don't it. 7) Katrina, Exposed what happens to people when they have been slaves of the welfare state for generations, and what can happen when welfare slaves vote in incompetents that they believe will keep the checks coming, priceless. 8) immigration, On this Bush is an idiot, we do not need to import poverty to the US, we need to build a wall, build it tall , use land mines to reinforce it and protect our national sovereignty. On this one Bush has failed.

bush has gotten us into a place where we will never really recover if not stopped. he says we are at war there and is bringing in 7000 iraq citizens who helped us. thank them very much and do not let it happen. it will be a really good reason for them to attack our country saying we are sheltering what they consider traitors to their country. he has brought enough down on this country as it stands now.

More to the point, what have we "All" gotten ourselves into? we all went in on this one together, and if we want to find a way back out, we "ALL" have to stop picking on one another and start talking as people first and political party's need to be kicked to the kerb, it's the only way to bring about a solution to this god awful mess.
