Well, why aren't there movie theatres, stadiums and supermarkets beeing blown upby suicide bombers here? Is it just possible that "terrorists" just want "infidels" out of Muslim lands? I mean look, the borders are wide open, are they trying to tell us that our national security is this darn good as to stop acts of terrorism? HA! C'mon people, wake up! Those so called "terrorists" don't want to "follow us home", they just want us out of theirs...

The intend of carbon offsets is a good one, and very idealistic, but does it really work? Gore may be purchasing them in bulk to live a "Zero Carbon" lifestyle, but does that make it okay for him to fly in a private plane, live in a mansion that uses 20x more power than the average household? He may preach to the public to conserve energy and to buy carbon offsets which we can get from his company, but why not cut back further on his own use?

I want to know if it is okay to quote a blockquote from a book to post in your blog/website? Reason I ask this is because I find some interesting stuff in a book and want to quote it into my blog/website. I want to make sure it isn't against the copyright.

I include the author's name and the book I get the quote in the footnote though. I dunno if it is still against copyright or not.

Another one that is similar to this question is I want to quote a story from a book and use it to make a study guide that will be shown on my website, is that okay? For exmaple: I want to quote a story, and then write down a list of definitions for the vocabulary words from that story. That way it helps me study as well as others.

My biggest concern is if it is against copyright or what.
Please help, thanks in advance.

If the present situation in Iraq continues relatively unchanged into 2008, it doesn't matter whether the Dems win the White House or not.

There will be another brutal massacre of Republican congressmen, and at that point the Dems will possess the votes to override a Republican President whether he opposes the Dem Congress or not.

So you cons had better be praying for a miracle in Iraq and SOON, or it won't make any difference if your Presidential candidate wins.

Genocide has occured in both countries (Sudan doesn't have the same level of methods as Iraq did as they only have fire arms where Sadaam could simply gas entire towns, but they seem to be pretty effectively carrying out genocide anyways). Why would person want to protect the of Sudan over the people of Iraq?

i've thought about joining the airforce before but the only thing is that if I were to join I would want to be a fighter pilot or something of the sort. Now my question is if you join do you get to choose what you would be or would you have no choice and they put you were they want you. I'm not talking about location wise job wise could I be a fight pilot or would I have to be what they want me to be? Also would it make a great deal of difference if I got my pilot license before joining or would it not matter?

When Canada is the socialist utopia that you've been searching for? Canada is anti-military, anti-gun, anti-capitalism, pro-homosexual and atheist. Not only that, but Canada also has a really crappy universal health care system, just like you guys want in the US. They are also lax on crime, have little drug laws, and will allow any crazy Muslim in the world to seek assylum there with little/no background check. And the best part is that they base their entire existance on hating America, so you couldn't possibly find a better place that shares all of your views.


I also heard that Canadians are big fans of Rosie O'Donnell, so that's another reason to move to Canada. Please move to Canada....now!

The police were looking for some people, they came to my house and asked if I had these people in my house. I said 'No". They asked if they could come in and then just came in without an answer and searched my house. I am a law abiding citizen for the most part. I only had 1 prob with the law in my whole life. I have no criminal record. Are they allowed to do that?

It is meant to either force you into giving up the free exercise of your rights or to incriminate you as someone who needs to hide

First one erson then another then all of the nation is ressured into this line of slow theft of rights

The patriot act and Cuba's detainee's signal a move on the governmets part to limit freedom - But you won't mind giving up a few rights of someone else will you ?

The problem is once you give up rights for someone else it is so much easier for you to lose yours
