If Alberto Gozales did no wrong, why is his OWN Dept. expanding the investigation?

Even his own justice department is expanding the investigation. this means they found something wrong. If Gonzales had half a brain, he would quit so this country could move on to bigger and better issues. But then being a "Loyal Bushie" is this day and age is not exactly an expression of genius is it?

There have been many times where investigation are conducted in the absence of a crime. They are just investigating because they want to find out what happened, not to condemn Gonzales.
