First, to banter semantics, a "civil" war implys fighthing amongst fellow countrymen. That said, the argument for illegals has what seems to me always been, "They'll do the work we don't want to do, cheaper." Unfortunately, that translates into, yes they'll do the work, but they'll also take advantage of things they don't deserve like housing, healthcare, WORKER'S COMPENSATION, etc., etc.
What the question should be is, what will the President of Mexico do if President Bush (or whomever...) decides to get tougher on illegals. That's the scariest thought. They've just hiked the price on citizenship and visas, probably with the intention to make it tougher for terrorist to get into this country, but I think they should work harder on finding out WHY said person wants in.
The Father of my child, and my husband, is from Italy and we went through the citizenship process. It is NOT difficult (remember your 7th grade Social Studies?), it just takes patience and time. Now that they're making it much more expensive to become a citizen (and pay social security taxes, income taxes and contribute to the workforce), I worry that the immigration issue will get even more troublesome.

When he wrote the decalaration of Independence, Jefferson thought there would be a civil war about every 25 years. He's alot smarter than the fools in Washington now. I wouldn't worry about civil war though. I would however, worry about our elected officials. Nowdays it seems like THEY are doing the jobs most Americans don't want to do. How many career politicians have been in their jobs DOING NOTHING but screwing things up for way to long now? That goes for both parties, for all you party liners out there.

I'm ready, the illegals don't stand a chance. But civil war would mean they would actually be part of the country not just invading it.

Things are happening in America way too fast for me. Personally I probably won't live to see a civil war in America, but if I do, I plan to RUN. I am NOT prepared for violence as it may get!

In the 80's, illegals were given amnesty. This is just another step on that ladder. Nothing at the borders will change because we have morons in charge of this country. In 20 years America will again face the same situation it has now, only on a much larger scale.

I don't think it will come to a civil war, although I will not rule out pockets of violence, rioting, etc. We very well may see some localized problems.
I would never provoke any problems or aggressions, but I can certainly defend myself & my family if I have to.

Only a handful of Americans are so delusional they would TRY to start a civil war.You DO realise the National Guard would be called in and Martial Law would be enacted don't you? So you would be willing to kill some of your own people who probably have gone to Iraq to fight for you?How unpatriotic are you?Talk about bringing America down. You would be the WORST type of traitor.

You need to get some professional mental health and probably some medication.
You seem paranoid and delusional. Your talk of civil war and fighting can be construed to mean that you are having violent thoughts. You may want to seek help before you actually hurt an innocent person.
