I have found her politics to be on the moderate side. Of course, I don't expect any answers, as I have asked conservatives to actually think.

One thing that jumps off the page is when she claimed that she wanted to confiscate oil company profits and invest them in alternative fuel research.

Or maybe the whole Socialized Medicine thing.

Doogie, I guess you haven't been paying attention to politics. Hillary Clinton said the other day in a speech that she favors redistribution of wealth. Basically take from the rich through higher taxes and give it to the poor.

Socialized medicine is a liberal idea

She supports gay marriage, which is a liberal idea.

But obviously you are her fan and therefore anything anyone points out to you will not be heard.

If you have "found her politics to be on the moderate side" then you are clearly either:

#1 - Not an American. This would explain your confusion about domestic US politics.

#2 - A very young American who was not around when Hillary tried to pass socialist national healthcare

-or-

#3 - A flaming Communist. You consider anyone to the right of Fidel Castro to be "moderate"

Duh, being just a dumb conservative I don't know, maybe her pro-choice stance. Maybe her love for all things "Big Government". She has never met an entitlement program she didn't love. Her crazy plan for Health care for all in the 90's. She's a Democrat, that's usually a pretty good indicator. She is only playing the role of a moderate in order to win votes. Fortunately for all of us, 52% (realclearpolitics.com) would never vote for Hillary Clinton under any circumstance. Just this fact lets me sleep deeply at night. Knowing the queen shrew will never be president gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Kind of like hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps on a cold winter night. Thank you for your time.

Pro-choice (baby killer), pro-gay marriage, pro-embryonic stem cell research, against Iraq War, pro-government funded programs, pro-welfare, pro-national healthcare, pro-global warming, pro-higher taxes, against capital punishment. And a damn good liar.

These are all attributes of liberalism.

Elway the Cat - Since I assume you were referring to me when you said the following, "They remain content with their assumptions and uninformed pronouncements. Like the one answerer who claimed she's for gay marriage. She's not, but did he bother to check? Of course not, he made an assumption, like the rest of them do. Damn the details or the facts, they don't need those! They're talking about Hillary Clinton after all."

I figured I should place a source for my reference so that your arrogance can be squashed.

BTW - I love how you reference the NY Times concerning a majority of Americans support Universal Healthcare. Obviously citing a liberal biased source. And FYI - Mitt Romney is NOT a favored Republican. Many Republicans such as myself are very disenfranchised with the current candidates. Wait until Fred Thompson throws his hat in the ring.

Enjoy!

Most of us in the liberal world are not too keen for Hillary to be the next Democratic candidate. She nearly always sides with what Bush wants. We have had enough of that! Not to mention, can't anyone who isn't a Bush or a Clinton get elected?

read more about her economic views. she isn't just liberal, but socialist. of course, she doesn't say that. she says that we should "all be in it together" when it comes to the economy. same as her book "it takes a village". she also believes in universal health care, taxing the wealthy and corporations to pay for her social programs, etc. if you dont believe she is a socialist. then you've fallen into her trap. when she says that we all have to help one another, what do you think she REALLY means by that?

I give you a lot of credit for asking this question of conservatives. I never bother because I've seen the extent of their understanding of Clinton's stand on the issues and it's like having a battle of wits with an unarmed person. They just repeat the nonsense they hear from each other and fling around the word "socialist" like they know what it means.

For example, Universal Health Care. The fact is that the majority of Americans (over 60%) approve of UHC. Mitt Romney, one of their favorite candidates, has his own plan for UHC, but they never mention that do they? Ahhhnold, same thing in California. There are Republicans in Congress who think it's the answer as well. But Hillary's the poster child for their ire, and damn if she isn't the head "socialist" where this is concerned. Here are a couple of good links that bear these facts out:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/02/washington/02poll.html?ex=1330491600&en=c983307f74f976cb&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

Then they carry on too about how Hillary wants to rape the oil companies and they take it down their own path of exaggeration by claiming she wants to redistribute wealth among all Americans, when all she really wants to do is save the dying middle class and find a way to truly research alternative fuels - two different issues they roll into one for their own convenience. Here is her stand on the oil companies and sorry, but it makes a lot of sense to me.

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/energy/

"Hillary introduced a plan to Congress to create a Strategic Energy Fund that would inject $50 billion into research, development, and deployment of renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean coal technology, ethanol and other homegrown biofuels, and more.

We can create the fund without raising taxes by giving oil companies a choice: invest in renewable energy themselves or pay into the fund. She would also eliminate oil companies' tax breaks and make sure they pay their fair share for drilling on public lands."

But as usual, all you got from most of them was the ignorant childish schoolyard name calling that most of them resort to because they don't really know the first thing about what she stands for. You are right, Hillary is a moderate about the majority of her stands on the issues, but they have no way to know that. They wouldn't deign to actually do some research which would educate them about her. They are content to use the usual conservative tactic of throwing mud without any facts to back it up. Hillary's an old fashioned American capitalist without the usual accompanying stick up the rear.

She scares the hell out of them, and for all the wrong reasons. But you were right in the last sentence of your question. They can't even bring themselves to acknowledge the Republicans that have given Bush notice he's lost all credibility when it comes to Iraq. They could hardly be expected to check into the truth about Hillary Clinton. They remain content with their assumptions and uninformed pronouncements. Like the one answerer who claimed she's for gay marriage. She's not, but did he bother to check? Of course not, he made an assumption, like the rest of them do. Damn the details or the facts, they don't need those! They're talking about Hillary Clinton after all.

P.S. Sorry to leave such a long answer but I'm sick to death of these uninformed parrots who don't know what the hell they're even talking about.

Well for one she is one of the biggest pushers of socailized medical care, and medicine. She also wants to take profit away from the oil companies so it can be used for research of alternative fuel sources. Taking profit from any business so you can give it to the government for research is about as close to communism as you can get. Clinton is the biggest liberal running, and it's hard to believe that your either to blind or to ignorant to see it for yourself.
