Randy is a student at the California State University. He has a keen interest in pornography and its impact on mental health. As part of his research Randy uses the University's T1 line and Web server from his dorm room to download pornographic images onto his laptop computer. The University authorities enter his room, confiscate his laptop computer and send him a letter informing him that he has been dismissed from the University for downloading obscene material. Is this action legal? Discuss the arguments that Randy can advance.

You know cons, they're just people. They put on their pants one leg at a time just like the rest of us.

HERE'S A FEW OF THE MORE WELL KNOWN EXAMPLES

Is this what the Neocon thinktanks spend their time doing, inventing catchy, derogatory terms for the Democrats? I spent a few minutes inventing an equally insulting term for the Bush Republicans: "Screwitupicans". And I wasn't even paid to do so.

I'm borrowing here from Leonard Pitts of the Miami Herald.

"If Hollywood doesn't represent American values, how did the money pile get so big?

Spider-Man 3 made $373 million last weekend. You do not sell $373 million worth of anything in just three days unless you have a pretty good idea who your customers are and what they want.

You kid yourself if you truly regard (Hollywood's) values as some alien belief system foisted upon righteous, defenseless Americans.

Hollywood is driven, like any business, by market forces. In America we vote with our money. And for all the talk about Hollywood as a bastion of liberalism, the truth is this business -- again, like any other -- is conservative.

People are generally conservative when it comes to their money."

Reactions?

That the money we spend daily in iraq is enough to lift 300,000 impoverished families out of poverty?

Republicans attacked Kerry for wanting to raise taxes - even though we have a multi billion dollar defeceit!! Who will bring our country out of debt? Our great great great great great great grand children?

Typical republicans - only care about themselves, and no one else.

We could be supporting thousands of impoverished people, but instead we kill thousands in iraq!!

We could use our money for something useful.

Despite popular republican belief - many people on welfare do have jobs - yet they dtruggle to pay the bills. For example - my sister works long 12 hour days to keep her four children fed and warm (husband left her). She uses welfare, and without it she would be on the streets.

Republicans support cutting the funding for innocent people like her. They claim to have moral values, yet wouldn't care if America's lower class were kicked onto the street.

FOX NEWS EXCLUSIVE

The statement tells American voters that Abu Hafs al-Masri supports the re-election campaign of President Bush: "We are very keen that Bush does not lose the upcoming elections." The statement said Abu Hafs al-Masri needs what it called Bush's "idiocy and religious fanaticism" because they would "wake up" the Islamic world.

One poster on this site even suggested that all cars be fitted with machines that would not allow your car to start if you have alcohol on your breath (you know the kind that are put on the cars of people convicted of DUI) This willingness to surrender our Constitutional rights is scary to me. In the word of Patrick Henry GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!

It seems that most politicians of both major parties, democrats & republicans, are "playing politics" with the illegal alien problem. So many people are getting really angry that their elected leaders seem to be ignoring them and subverting this nation for political gain & their own self-interests. Both big parties cry out for action against terrorism but allow millions to cross the borders illegally and are even conspiring to confer citizenship upon them! Uninvited guests help themselves to our hard-earned benefits, and the fed.'s are helping to force us to allow it, maybe even to pay social security to Mexican nationals. People are so tired of being betrayed by our government. Let's make the illegals go home and show kindness to those who are willing to abide by our laws. Instead, the gov't. wants to force us to bless lawbreakers who jump in front of others. I plan to vote against these people. Will the USA revolt & puke out it's leaders in favor of those who care about US?
