I want my freedom, I want for myself and others to be personally responsible, to take care of themselves and their families.
I follow the constitution and Bill of Rights and the basic tenets of the Ten Commandments, those support my moral compass.
I will not trade my freedom for anything.
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

I think it's because it's been a while since a generation of Americans had to fight for thier freedom. Yeah, the last couple generations have metaphorically 'fought' for various causes, and there have been these small-scale undeclared wars. But, it's not the same thing as fighting an enemy you know has attacked American soil (like the Japanese in WWII).
Of course, we have been fighting such an enemy for 6 years now, but it's not until that conflict has been won (if it ever can be), and the people who fought it have thier turn in positions of leadership that we'll see a greater, /genuine/, apreciation for freedom in American political discourse.

My father fought through out WW11,the Korean War and was an adviser in the Viet Nam War. Before he pass away last year he said "All I have fought for(freedom) and promised by the government have all been taken away".
What else will be next.

The people of the United States have been subjected to "brain washing" for many years now, starting in the schools and it's now part of our everyday life.
And unless something is done soon, it will continue to get worse. We are no longer in control of our government, but rather they control us. A "government of the people, by the people and for the people" is no longer in effect, and is nothing but a distant dream.

In 1776 our founding fathers sacrificed their safety for their liberty. Now we sacrifice our liberties for the illusion of safety.
