When we have elections, the candidates always speak about family values and how much they care about the welfare of the American people. Let's inquirer about why with their own wealth and family values they have not reached out and saved one child in foster care. In so many cases these chilren are neglected, sexually abused, and just not loved

Is the gun more important than the constitution? Is the "gun" owner ship a cult that some would die for?

2007-04-18 12:10:01 · 21 answers · asked by edubya 5 in Politics

The important thing, Tucker Carlson says, is to "understand why", not to do anything rash like regulate gun ownership.

I'm all for understanding why, don't get me wrong.

But I was called a "liberal traitor" for wanting to understand why terrorists attacked America on 9/11. And Tucker Carlson was leading the crusade into Iraq because of 9/11.

Conservatives didn't want to "understand" so much back then.

“We’re an empire now and when we act we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality judiciously, as you will, we’ll act again, creating other new realities which you can study too. And that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors and you, ALL of you, will be just left to study what we do.”
----- Karl Rove speaking to a small group of reporters at a cocktail party in 2004...... printed in the Washington Post.

ALL they do is BLAME someone else for their problems and then lash out.

Why is it so hard for one to find an opinion from a USA citizen that doesn’t agree with its external policy?

I am aware that there must be internal opposition against USA government. But were the Americans who voted for this administration (twice)!
I don’t understand how it is possible for someone to justifie 650.000 deaths with the excuse of “we are trying to democratize IRAQ” or the “defence from terrorism” when it’s very much obvious that the oil is the only reason for their presence there.

(Refugee humanitarian crisis coming up)

Do Americans really believe that there are evil countries?
I’m not cynical and say that the USA is the evil country; we can read this a lot as well! Actually, when an American is accused of stealing the oil should reply with "what kind of oil do you use?

But the fact still remains; the world keeps hating you. Many countries have their one share of death/guilt but you don’t see so much hypocrisy
