I am looking for the safest 9mm handgun - I have taken a firearm safety course and this will be a self-defense weapon only - am looking for something small/sleek so it is out of the way. I've heard Glocks can have safety issues - I want something that wont easily go off if its dropped / jiggled, or if someone had picked it up and were fooling with it. Just looking for recommendations. Thanks,

I was doing a project on the Military for School, and I came across the Rank structures of each branch, the Army and the Marines are mostly the same, with just a few differences, but the Air Force seems to be the complete opposite, and the Navy and Coast Guard are the same, but completely different than any thing else. Why is that?

I mean aren't the Marines part of the Navy, and didn't the Air Force used to be part of the Army Air Corps?

Then the Navy's officer ranks all look the same as the rest of the branches, but have different names. If we are a united Military, why aren't our Ranks?

Personally, I am relieved. How do you feel? If you disagree with the ruling, why do you disagree? Please, only adult and responsible answers.

Alcohol and tobacco are more dangerous than some currently illegal drugs. It doesn't make sense to ban one kind of drug and allow another. The inconsistency leads to disrespect for law. Prohibition of alcohol in the twenties led to massive wealth and empowerment of criminals. (In any case it was only the sale of alcohol that was banned, not possession. ) Today, the same thing happens with drug-wealthy criminals. Legalizing and taxing the sale of drugs would give the government tax revenue which currently goes to criminals.
Drugs should be licensed and controlled. Therefore their quality and purity would be maintained. Drug users would not have to rob people and engage in prostitution to get money to pay for drugs, since the prices could be controlled. Since crime would diminish, there would be fewer people in prison and the prisons would be less crowded.

It's not the business of government to police the private behavior of consenting adults.

Look at Amsterdam: safe and friendly.

...or has Cheney backed off since over 1.5 million Iraqi refugees are now displaced and living in Syria?
I would offer that the 'displacements' have increased Syria's position in the Middle East and the US has had to step back. After all, we are already in enough trouble --- to wage further Middle Eastern conflict at this juncture would only weaken our position.
It looks as though the US wants Iraq as a "base" - her presence to establish herself to assist Israel of course, and to force the Iraqis to bend to her will. We all know by now that the U.S. has no immediate nor future plans to leave Iraq. And unfortunately she does not care who has to die for these plans.
Does anyone else see any other reason for the U.S. to remain in Iraq? And please, knowledgeable US government law enforcement are very much aware that al Quaeda and other insurgent groups are already based in countries in Africa. And that they are growing. The Global War on Terror has spread its wings.

Since it's an American's right to bear arms, what about others? I'm a Canadian citizen working on becoming a citizen of the U.S. I have been married to my wife (who is American) for over 2 years. Should I be able to purchase a gun even though I'm not a natural born citizen?

Hi. I have had mild athsma all my life. I am taking an AMAZING product called Limu that has gotten rid of most of my athsma. I realy want to join the reserves, but athsma is a disqualifier. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of athsma? Please don't talk about meds, thay only cover it up and cause me worse problems. And if anyone knows about millitary rules reguarding athsma, please help me. This means a lot to me, so don't tell me it can't be done. I've heard enough of that. I want ideas of how I can do it.
Thanks! You all are GREAT!!!

How do I sue the *** out of Yamaha motorcycles? I am mad at them because in one of their magazine advertisements they advertise their deadly quad bikes and dirt bikes to elementary school aged children. On the advertisement photo are displayed a girl about the age of 10 and a boy about the age of 12 standing hapilly next to their quad/dirt bikes that their irresponsible parents had purchased for them as if it's a toy. How could Americans be so retarded? Who in their right mind purchases a death machine for their school aged children? They may never live to be the age of 18. You may never ever see them grow up since the dirt bike you bought them killed them. Or paralized them for life which is even worse. I want to know why you parents do this sort of stuff and why you're not even arrested for such unethical behavior? Because every year many American children die on such deadly recreation vehicles.

I also what to know what is the process of Sueing Yamaha Motorcycles.

I believe that it would be if we didn't hide the process so much. I believe that public executions should be televised so that it would serve as a warning to those thinking about committing a crime. No worse than what Hollywood puts out these days. Do you remember the audio of Nick Berg? Chilling wasn't it? You would get more people's attention if you did this.(not the beheading way) We are too political correct in this country these days. What say you?

Do you think the government should be able to outlaw certain procedures that the doctor would do to protect you life? If the procedure is for the benefit of your health or your life, and the doctor tells you all the information as to the pros and cons of the procedure, do you think the government should be able to make that procedure illegal?

Secondary question, do you think the Partial Birth Abortion Ban was good or bad?

I see it in the movies all the time. Lethal Weapon 1 comes to mind. When Riggs gets shot during that drive-by, he flies into the store window and lies unconscious. A few seconds later, he comes to and is in his maniac mode.

Ok, I know that this is a movie...an unrealistic one, at that. But this is the same thing that happens in a whole lot other movies as well. Is this what really happens when you get shot while wearing a bulletproof vest?

Why does this happen? Is it the force of the bullet? Or the shock of getting hit?

Last night someone sent me a message on MySpace asking if I wanted phone sex. He then asked if I could come over for sex and that he'd give me $100. I told him to leave me alone. He finally left me alone after I threatened to report him. I didn't say where though. Although I am in adult I loook like a teen in my MySpace pictures. I think this guy thought I was underage. Should I report this guy and if I can where and anonymously?
