I am pro-choice and understand your frustration but you act as if Roe v. Wade was overturned. It only effected the way less than 10% of abortions are done in America. I agree that a woman has a right to choose but I do not agree that a life is a life only if it passes the birth canal. At some point we have to draw a line.

No they didn't, they uphelp a long standing law outlawing partial birth abortions. A woman who's health is in peril can still legally have the child "terminated" inside of her, then have the body removed. This law just does not allow for the baby to be half-way out of the mother, and then killed.

It means that a partial birth abortion (when a baby is almost out of the womb and the doctor either severs the baby's spinal cord or bashes the skull in) is not a form of birth control. There have been countless doctors, including C. Everett Koop, who have testified that partial birth abortion is never necessary to the health of the mother.

If people would only go see what an abortion really does to the baby and the mother, we would have no need for these debates.

Don't you think a rape victim would do something about it right away instead of waiting like 5 months?

A pregnancy where a womans life is in danger is another issue. And im all for saving her life if its necessary.

Yes but with rape victims and rsiky pregnancies, they can be aborted when they find out they are pregnant. This means that you cant wait months and then once its an actual BABY snap its necka dn take it out. Regular abortion is still available if you are raped or dont want the baby, but if you dont want it you need to decide before the babys body takes form and grows bones etc.. I mean i agree w/ abortion but not killing almost live babies.

The Supreme Court today knocked out 30 yrs of women's right to suck the brains out of relatively mature babies. The supreme court only did what it was supposed to do - enforce the law of the land through the prism of the constitution and give legislative power to the Congress and States. If you don't like the law, then petition the government to change it. That's what the legislative branch is for. Roe v. Wade has always been shaky Constitutionally, and this is the first step in moving the power back to the states - where it belongs.

10th Amendment trumps it.

They left sort of a back-door around this. There are no criminal charges that can be brought against the woman, only the doctor performing such. How many women get tin this type of abortion are going to report the doctor that ives it to them?

My understanding is that they only struck down one method, not the most used method. They also kept the door open for a challange based on health of the mother, since the bill in question had permitted the abortions in case of risk of the mother's life.

No the supreme court took a step in returning some of this nations morality and took a step in protecting the lives of numerous babies.

ADD:
Why women have abortions
1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest; 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

You don't want that answered from us on the conservative side, do ya? There are people who think this is the saddest day in Women's history, and their are people who are going out drinking to celebrate. Some people will see this as a huge day in their life, and they will smile in their sleep, and some won't be able to sleep. This is a huge issue, and I don't know what to say. Either side you take, you will be loved by some and hated by others.
