Dictators sometimes like to have an elite unit which they can use as their own personal military or paramilitary force, such as Saddam's Republican Guard.

Nazi Germany had several military and paramilitary forces, as well as several police agencies. Which of them served to do Hitler's bidding when he wanted something done while bypassing the Reichstag?

Does Fidel Castro maintain a personal armed force? Did Idi Amin? Does Robert Mugabe? Did Benito Mussolini? Francisco Franco? Peron?

Imus did. Imus was/is no conservative...He is a liberal......What will he be now ???

Tony Snow (Whitehouse spokesman), right after Edward`s claims, and then Fred Thompson....And remember, Rudy had prostate cancer not too long ago as well....Will Rudy`s cancer resurface, at least on the political scene, as yet another blow against John Edward`s ploy to gain America`s sympathy with claims of "cancer within the family"?....then there was the recanting of Edward`s previous claims......Mrs. Edwards is not quite in the predicament the Edwards camp once told us all she was once in..... What do you think ?

The Civil War was fought because of racism and slavery. White Democrats were the slave owners in the South. Are you really that surprised to learn that there are many racists like Don Imus, Michael Richards, Robert Byrd, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton in the Democratic Party?

I think the old 'checks and balances' are not strong enough to ensure the goverment comes out on top. Lobbyist's backed by huge Corporations have the money to buy politicians. The media in too few hands has the power to control perceptions and votes. In the old days a goverment could look after the peoples interests by breaking up and legislating against monopolies, now they are too scared of being voted out of office on the whim of a media proprietor. Individuals are easilly ignored. We need something bigger than the Corporations - big enough to put them back in their box. It seems to me the internet is a tool that could work for the people. Could I suggest that everyone who reads this and feels the same post on the internet, asking those that read their posts to do the same. LETS CREATE A GROUNDSWELL FOR DEMOCRACY ON THE NET demanding the breaking up of monopoly media, the outlawing of lobbyists, & reform of electoral finance so that people with integrity not just money run.

There was a day when liberals were a respected voice in American politics. Ever since the late '60's, they've drifted further and further towards the "Hate America First" fringe, and are now as alien as Klingons.

They see the President as a greater threat than al Qaeda. They see Don Imus' remarks as the worst thing that has ever been said. They feel that groups should have rights instead of individuals. They feel "profit" is a bad word. They equate Christians with radical Muslims and think that bin Laden was goaded into his acts by US foreign policy instead of his religion. They get downright weepy in their defense of every last comma and jot in the First Amendment, yet feel the Founding Fathers were simply kidding about the Second and Tenth. They have yet to meet a foreign dictator they don't love as long as he's sufficiently anti-American. They preach incessantly about freedom of speech, yet try mightily to silence those who disagree. When did they become so delusional?

I've already done 6 years out of an 8 year sentance which is a large portion but now the probation service have deemed me to be 'at risk of re-offending' and want me back inside, in other words my behaviour in the community is worrying them. I was locked up for a robbery in 2001 and in my opinion I have more than done my fair share of jail, I only got away with a few hundred pounds so it was hardly a mojor robbery! Its my drug taking which is worrying probation as I have tested posative for cocaine twice in a month, it was my crack habit which forced me to rob shops 6 years ago but now i just use coke recreationally so in my opinion the recall is unjustified. A fight I had while at my hostel has'nt helped matters but its the drug taking that has torn it. I've been on the run for a while but the police have tracked me down so now I'm going to hand myself in to the police at 6pm today.
I will be out in roughly 8-12 months and so I will read your answers then................Bye for now!

I had a flood in the basement of the condo. To make a long story short when our snow melted last month the water came in through the brick pavers of my patio and all into the closet of my basement and has ruined my carpet. My condo association paid to pull up all my brick pavers and repair the leak, but won't put them back. I filed with my insurance company and they came out and decided that it was due to "faulty design" of my patio that caused this flood. I did not have this patio put in, the owner before me did. Why am I paying for insurance if they don't do anything for me? Someone told me there is someone I can call to investigate my claim and to try to get me some money. I have a huge pile of bricks for a patio and I had to cut out a huge part of my carpet because it was destroyed. I need help!

I am an Intel Specialist in the Navy. I hate to tell you bone heads this but, since the war has started 80% percent of the violence has been in Baghdad, Iraq.

The surge has wiped out hundreds of bad guys in the capital. For the first time in years Baghdad held a Fair-like parade a couple of weeks ago.(See Washington Times for pictures)

The Gov. of Iraq wants us there. Point Blank!

The majority of the weapons that kill U.S. troops come from Nancy Peloci's Syrian friends and Hillary Clintons Iranian friends.(a little bit of sarcasm there)

Last year we had 843 U.S. fatalities in Iraq that resulted from hostile action. We had more murders and crime than that in two American cities if you add Philadelphia's crime rate and Detroit's crime rate. BOTH CITIES ARE RAN BY DEMOCRATS. DO YOU SEE REPUBLICANS TRYING TO DEFUND DETROIT? Imagine what would have if we defunded Detroint and stop giving the federal benefits. (Liberals dont take that statement to heart, just making an outstanding example)

The surge is working so well the Democrats scrambled to defund the war immediatly and then went on vacation.

Folks if you dont believe nothing I say believe this, The Democrats can't afford politically for us to win in Iraq. For the sake of their party they want us to lose.

There are two politically powerful women in America you have Hilary clinton and Condoleeza Rice not sure about Nance Pelosi (not being American) in the UK we had a woman Prime Minister through the 80's she even took us to war with Argentina over the Falkland Islands 25 years ago.
Do you think either Hilary Clinton or Condoleeza Rice will ever get elected to the most powerful office in the world or do you think the world is not yet ready for a female president?
I think if America ever votes for its first woman president I think she will be just as good as a male president maybe even better. Do you think America is ready for a woman president is there change in the political world of Washington DC?
