No. He's neither, and he's himself. There are still such people as MODERATES in the country, you know.

just because a person can call himself more Liberal than Conservative, that doesn't make him a true Liberal, just because he has a few Liberal traits. If he can allow himself to use racial slurs to describe young, successful women, he has lost his "Liberal ID" as far as I'm concerned. To me he's just a shock jock with no real political identity.
And I must add that the Conservatives are making a big deal about this. Imus is an a$$ more than anything else and I don't know any Liberal that held him up as a Liberal hero. If anything, any Liberalness in him was a besides-the-point. It's you Conservatives that are concerned with this one comment and refuse to look at countless examples of racism in your party.

you comprehend, there's a center floor between liberals and conservatives, and that i think of that Imus has to fall someplace in that center floor. Imus isn't a conservative, yet he's likewise no longer a liberal. Imus is...properly, Imus is in simple terms an fool. I on no account liked him, even previously he made that racist remark relating to the Rutgers college basketball group. i think of he's a jerk.

I wish he was an independent like (supposedly) Joe Lieberman. Imus makes stupid jokes about both parties to getlaughs from dumb viewers. I'm a liberal, yet find him to be an unpleasant, humorless person. The biggest laughs I've had lately were in dreams of Al Sharpton pooping out of his mouth.

I firmly believe that the Libs are using Imus as a Goat to get to Rush & Company. They want him, Hannity, & Michael Savage, etc;. Off the Air. And they're climbing on the back of Imus' stupid remark, to get to `em.

He will get back on the air somewhere and spew more hatred toward conservatives, and start kissing the lefts behind to insure he will never be fired again.
He looked like a broken Luke in "Cool Hand Luke" last week.
Yes boss man, digging the hole boss man, then crying out, "where are you now"!
He was abandoned by his "friend" Harold Ford. He deserved it. Kissing Fords butt like he did. He got it like he gave it.
He'll be back somewhere, with a much bigger audience. This is America. Freedom of speech. As long as he can make someone money.
He raised over 3 million for children last week. That's not bad even if you hate him. He is a shrewd SOB.

A lot of liberals didn't "support the likes of John Kerry", either - myself included. There are many things that define "liberalism" - support for a rich, arrogant schmuck isn't one of them. Neither is bigotry...
Imus isn't liberal. He is elitist and bigotted - two things that most TRUE liberals despise.

Sure they do. Everybody knows Imus is a liberal. I can't believe they are denying it.

I think liberals made a mistake with this guy. I believe they thought that because he is in radio, he must be a conservative. They jumped the gun when they piled on! If they knew he was a card carrying Democrat and liberal, they would have made excuses for him. Much like they made excuses for Democrat Senator Robert Byrd for using the N word and being a former member of the KKK.
Liberals blew it this time.

I'm just going to assume that all the Imus fuss from conservatives is a means to distract from the continually unfolding scandals of the failed and spectacularly corrupt Bush Administration.

I understand where you are coming from but he did have some conservatives on his show.
The democratic party is in a difficult position now.
Since Obama voted for his ousting and McCain and Guiliani essentially forgiving him. I think this will play into the minds of voters.
You see when people think of Obama they think of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. The will conclude that if Obama is in the White House...then that means Sharpton and Jackson are in the White House...I think most people will be afraid of that.
Sharpton and Jackson (as good as their intentions are)...I think hurt Obama's chance.
